No More Gator Bait

The University of Florida has decided to put an end to its “Gator Bait” chant, due to what the school claims is the  “historic racist imagery associated with the phrase.”
University of Florida President Ken Fuchs announced the measure a s a part of the university’s effort to combat racism.

Typically, when an opponent comes onto the field the Florda fans clap a top hand on the top to one on the bottom to signify their victim is going to get creamed. Even so, the President of the University has stated their is no example of blacks being fed to the dreaded gator.

The Univ of Georgia has stated they will stop their band from playing the song, Tara's Theme. It's the opening song in the movie, Gone With The Wind.

The city of Duluth, Minnesota has announced they will eliminate the word 'Chief' from any title position. As in, Chief Executive Officer. This does not bode well for my youngest son who is the Chief Operating Officer for a series of health care networks in southwest Ohio.

The mayor of Duluth is Emily Larson. She concocted the idea of getting rid of the title of Chief. I wonder how the Indian tribes of Minnesota, of which there are many, will handle this.

Ms. Larson brings to mind another subject which will irritate many females. Don't get me wrong. I like the fairer sex. I married one over fifty years ago. When the women's movement was started it was to get rid of the old boys society. I'd say they've done a damn fine job. It seems to me the majority of mayors, school principals, college presidents are of the female persuasion. This sort of bothers me because, and it's not a new thought on my part, but the feminization of America and the demeaning of boys all came about when the Gloria Steinem and Bella Abzug types took hold of the reins. Pregnanat and barefoot in the kitchen is not a part of everyday life in this country. Dammit!
