Happy Fourth Of July Er, Uh, Maybe

It's blazing hot across the heartland today. That's the way it's supposed to be on July 4th. Fire crackers should be ablazin', refreshments flowing and family and friends celebrating. Oh, I don't suppose the names of Jefferson and Washington will come up often but I hope at some time or another we'll all remember this is the 'Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave'. That would be recognition enough.

Foolish me! When I wrote this, Friday morning, I  thought it was July 4th. Now I know how Joe Biden feels.
