What better a thing to do on a rainy day, other than stay in bed, is to run errands for The Queen. I don't mind, really. I get to ask Charlie if he wants to go for a ride then we tool around from stop to stop.
Every block of driving or so he'll put his nose up next to the window and I'll bring it down so he can sniff. Since dogs have nose receptors 40,000 times greater than humans he gets to inhale a big beautiful bouquet----------------------unless we come across a dead animal lying along the curb.
Anyway, I'd had it with the Kroger pharmacy and wanted to transfer back to my old haunt at Walgreen's. They're good people and have my meds for me on time.
While I was walking the aisles I came across the shoe shine department. My walkers have needed a shining for some time so I grabbed two tins of Kiwi paste and lost it. Each can, and we're talking 1.8 oz. costs $6.99. I'm sure if I went to Giant Eagle it'd be a couple dollars less but 7 bucks is quite a bit for paste. Don't ya' think?
I had a couple other items on my list but I left. I was broke.
