I was remiss in not mentioning Veteran's Day yesterday and, to me, that's almost an unforgivable sin. My wife's father's brother was the second American from Iowa who gave his life in WWI. His name was Donald MacRae.
November 11 used to be called 'Armistice Day' to honor those who gave their lives in the 'War To End All Wars'. That has now been changed to include all veterans in all wars.
I hope you were unlike me and did remember even for a few brief moments.
