I gotta be honest with you. Last night was rough when it came to falling asleep. When it comes to sleep I practice narcolepsy and then at night I'm an insomniac. Folks, it isn't pretty. Anyway, when we have elections I get over the results in a hurry. In 2000 when Algore questioned the results I nodded off immediately but that's just me. I told myself "It is what it is" and moved on. But now, in the twilight of my life it isn't easy. You have to understand that I'm a throwback to a time in history when we played baseball in a field all day then went home and had dinner with our family and talked about non-consequential things. I was a high school history instructor for twenty years. During the course of a year I would present to my students our nations history from its beginnings up to the present day. The information I presented for each period lasted two weeks except when it came to the study of the Constitution. I felt that period was so very important for my students I gave it three weeks. I felt it was that important. I cringe to think what an American History class would be like today if I sneaked into a classroom.
If I had a modicum of intelligence I'd put off exercising my fingers and wait for more voting results to come in but that's not me. I'm one of those 'ready-fire-aim guys.
People, there's something wrong with our electoral process and there's more wrong with those who pull the levers in the voting booth.
I'm trying to comprehend how the Democrats can maintain the Senate and, most likely, the House with our problems of today and we have to throw in the mix the head poodle aka Joe Biden.
Let me write about pollsters for awhile. Personally, I don't pay attention to these guys. In my life I've only given my views to one and that was in 2008. In addition, in giving answers to the pollsters questions I lied and gave my total support to Barack Obama.
In this election all of those running polls had the Republicans running away with the results. I heard words like tsunami and wave to illustrate what was going to happen. When it comes to figuring the odds on who will or will not win I go to one special source and it's the Vegas guys who set the odds. They all have the Republicans winning in a landslide. Case close, huh? No!
Kari Lake was running for governor in Arizona. She's a Trump person who used to be a Democrat. Her opponent had two verified cases of racism proven against her. She is the Lt. Governor of Arizona and hasn't visited the border. She's a hardcore progressive. Kari Lake was picked by Vegas to win in a landslide which is considered to be ten points or higher. As of this morning at 8 am with maybe 20 precincts not reporting Lake is down by !5%. It's not possible especially considering Arizona is being overrun by illegal aliens and drugs and murders and high gas prices along with everything else. Did you know the voting machines were shut down yesterday due to a 'glitch'? An Arizona judge issued an order that polling not be extended to people who were forced to stand in line. But I digress.
Twelve months ago I was talking to Her Majesty and I told her I thought this country was dead because we were destroying ourselves internally. "Hey, the same happened to the Roman Empire so don't scoff at me."
John Fetterman has been declared the winner of Pennsylvania's senate race even though he can't answer questions with a television prompter. Strokes have that effect on people. Pennsylvania is a coal and gas drilling state. Two weeks ago Fetterman changed his energy mantra by stating he was for fracking. For two years or more he was against that. This past week Joe Biden stated he was going to shut down the coal industry and that we were going to stop drilling. Did you read that? He didn't say he was going to cut back on drilling. He said he was going to stop it. Pennsylvania employs 500,000 people in the petroleum industry with millions more dependent on them for their economy. Brain dead John Fetterman will be the new senator from the Keystone state.
I referred to the Roman Empire earlier. We have in this country a group of radical female Democrats in the House called 'The Squad': Ilhan Omar, Rashida Talib, Alayna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. They hate this country. They do everything in their power to destroy our institutions; the Constitution especially. All four were re-elected in a landslide. I find Omar's story compelling. She migrated here from Somalia. She married her brother to gain residence. I wonder why and how she has escaped any legal retribution from her constituents.
I'm going to put a lot of the blame for this electoral disaster on the hands of the voter. For me, my main voting issue is our porous southern border. In the last two years illegals from 162 nations around the world have illegally and unconstitutionally crossed into this once great country. To date 5.5 million illegals have confronted our border guards. We know for a fact at least 80 of these were on our terrorist watch list. I wonder how many others are now inside our cities planning the next 9/11. We know that over 110,000 Americans, mostly between the ages of 20-44, died last year by ingesting illegal drugs made in China and Mexico and transported by 'mules' to all parts of our nation. Will your husband, wife, child or grandchild be the next victim? Did you know that Mexican drug cartels have balls, figurative ones? Their shops are now on American soil. Did you know that approximately 80,000 children, transported here illegally aged 18 and under have been sold into the sex trade in the United States? Do people care? Not really because we have big time college football games coming up this week-end and, more importantly, the National Basketball Association is now playing games. "Hey Tom, get me another beer and let's watch basketball. The country be damned."
When it comes to politicians and who they vote for I'm convinced the people are clueless about issues. In other words, they're stupid. That was a cruel thing to write. Let's better say their ignorant; dolts is a good word. People look at the names of the candidates then next to them will notice either a D or an R then vote. As a prime example I present to you a lady by the name of Barbara Ward Cooper. The woman is highly respected as a long time state representative in the Tennessee legislature and hails from Memphis. I should write she used to be from Memphis because on October 22 she did a horrid thing. She died at the age of 93. The Democrats in her district kept her on the ballot and guess what? She won her seat by 8,000 votes. Do you feel bad about yourself today? You shouldn't. A couple of thoughts hit me this morning. (1) It's more than likely Donald Trump's movement is history. He's out of the picture. (2) With the congress being controlled by a Democratic Communist Party and most likely the House going the same way Joe Biden and his corruption will skate. Anthony Fauci will skate. Any mention of Hunter Biden and his illegal and traitorous actions with foreign nations is history. Once again, corruption reigns supreme.
Oh, I could go on and on with this cry baby diatribe but it's futile. Know why? Because our country is dead!
