Tearing Ohio Apart

As with every other state in the union Ohio also has an election this upcoming Tuesday that has split the state down the middle. If you happen to live in another state you might not think this piece of information applies to you but, then again, you'd be wrong. It's coming to all of us.

There are two issues on the ballot. Issue #2 calls for a vote for or against 'recreational marijuana' beginning at age 21. Issue #1 deals with abortion. The Left, of course, is all for abortion because, well, it's the women's body, right? I suppose most of the voters see these laws in black and white. Speaking of black and white I've oftentimes considered abortion a ploy by the Left to eradicate Black people. In Ohio 48% of abortions are performed on Black women. Liberals know this. Could it be this is a way for them to get rid of these folks?

In regard to issue #1, if the YES votes win abortions would be allowed up to birth. Personally, the thought of killing a child absolutely sickens me. Also, and there are other ramifications: girls under the age of 18 could receive an abortion without parental consent. As long as I mentioned consent there's another aspect to #1. It says that children could transition their sexual preferences without having to tell mom or dad. Does that seem weird? If you're a parent would it scare you?

As for the marijuana thing: My neighbor is a single guy with a lovely 15 year old daughter. He's pro-ganja. Knowing kids the way I do having raised three of them and teaching thousands over the course of 20 years I sort of think there just might be a 21 year old who would think it would be cool to supply marijuana to his sister or her friends who are in their but, hey, what do I know? I'm just an old geezer.

The polls say both of these issues will pass.
