Take your pick: The New Deal, The Great Society or Title IX which mandates that women have the same opportunities as men in sports. In my book these are the very worst three pieces of social government legislation in the history of the United States If there are a total of 100 men playing collegiate sports then the women are allowed to have 100 in their sports regardless of how much money they bring into the university. Thank God for successful college football and men's basketball programs or there wouldn't be a female athlete on any campus in America. Does this sound right and good to you? In order to achieve this thousands of men's sports have been dropped to implement this program. Furman University announced that the men's golf program has been dropped, caput, done, finished. The women's golf program will continue--onward and downward because the government felt the need to get involved.
