Elon Musk Must Be A Fool

Elon Musk and his kids are not taking the shot.  He is one of the smartest people alive so I guess  I'm in good company. The only difference between us is he's worth $170 billion and I'm not, almost but not.

Are You A Patriot?

The White House told us today if we wanted to consider ourselves patriots we must double vax AND wear masks in our homes. This is not a joke.

Never Forget What They Stole From Us

Did You Know

Did you know the Coca-Cola Corp. owes the United States government $12 billion dollars in back taxes?

You do now.

Personally, It's All In The Eyes

What is it that first attracted you to your one true love? I remember vividly when I first met Her Majesty. Even though it was a dark dance floor in 1969 one thing stood out; her eyes. They were and are still deep pools of blue. And, no, this isn't her. She's much more attractive. Anyway, I've always been a sucker for  black hair and deep blue eyes.

How about you?

When People Say Silly Things

Tim Scott is a Black, Republican senator from South Carolina. He gave the response to Joey B's State of the Union.

Joy Behar is a blowhard on the TV show, The View. She had this to say about Mr. Scott:

"What does a Black man understand about what racism is really like in America?" I'm trying to get my hands around this but they don't reach to Saturn and back.

You See, I Have This Grandson

All of our ten grandchildren are unique individuals. We've been blessed with four boys and six girls and their individual talents are special. Their age gap ranges from 16 down to seven and sometimes they present us with surprises.

One of the kids, Kingston, has always been a little above the rest when it comes to grammar and vocabulary along with innovative ideas.

When he was four he decided it upon hisself that the name of Kingston was weird. He didn't care for it one bit. Anyway, one fine summer day ol' Grandpa took him to the city park to play. He sauntered over to where two other kids were playing in a sandbox. One of the kids asked, "What's your name" and my guy announced, "It's Bob." He's been this way for a long time.

Last week we found out he had entered a short story writing contest. It was announced he was the grand prize winner and congratulations abound. Later in the day the school told the parents the winner was actually another kid.

In order to encourage him in his writing endeavors I drove to Barnes & Noble and bought for him a book titled 'A Thesaurus For Students' and put it in the mail.

Today, in the mail, I received a 'thank you' letter. Mind you the boy is nine years old. If I had written a 'thank you' note when I was that age it would have gone like this: Der Grandma, thanx for the muny. The end.

For your enjoyment I'm including his letter. It, in my opinion, is a classic.

Dear Grandpa:

I bestow my complete gratitude upon you for giving me the thesaurus. I am confident that I will utilize it a lot.

Everything is pleasant in Cincinnati. What is existence like in Columbus?

From Kingston

P.S. If you thought I was prevaricating the entire thesaurus thing, I replaced most of the fundamental words with synonyms.

Somebody Call LeBron

A cop has died after his head was stomped by a suspect who also attacked an elderly couple, sending both to hospital. Cpl. Keith Heacook, 54, was declared 'clinically dead' on Wednesday at a Baltimore hospital, three days after he was allegedly attacked by Randon Wilkerson, 30. The veteran cop had been responding to an early morning 911 call that Wilkerson had reportedly attacked his roommate at the Yorkshire Estates Community in Delmar, Delaware, on Sunday. A second call came through moments later, to say Wilkerson had then crossed the street and attacked his neighbors; 73-year-old Steve Franklin and his wife Judy, 76.

Biden Declares War On Blacks

The Biden administration moved Thursday to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars, fulfilling a key goal of anti-smoking groups who say the products harm minorities while sparking a debate about government overreach and the potential creation of an underground market. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/apr/29/fda-moves-ban-menthol-cigarettes-flavored-cigars/

It's common knowledge the ciggies of choice among the smoking Black population are Kool's and Newport's. I think the Dems might be blowing smoke on this one but we'll have to take a wait and see. Besides, here we go with the government forcing the people to abide by their rules as in, let's say, banning of certain books and restrictions on freedom of speech. It's not going to cease until the people act.

Rudy Vs. Hunter

As you heard the FBI received a warrant search the computers of 'America's Mayor' yesterday. What they haven't done is search(to our knowledge) Hunter's computer via warrants even though we know they contained child porn, lying to the feds about his gun purchase, business with the Ukrainians, Russians and China, It's good to be the son of a fake president.

Patterson served 20 years as a pilot on active duty in the United States Air Force. From 1996 to 1998, Colonel Patterson was the Senior Military Aide to President Bill Clinton. During that time he was responsible for the President's Emergency Satchel.[2] He retired in 2001 to pursue a career as a writer, conservative political commentator and commercial airline pilot.

Life Isn't Fair

Life is strange. You're born, you are on the earth for a brief period of time then you die. This doesn't seem fair. In between we need to eat to survive. Some of us are moderate in our eating habits. Others line up at the trough and feed until we pass out.

Soooooooo, last night I began considering the life of the Hippopotamus. I'll be truthful when I write this is the first time I've ever given that animal a thought unless I'm at the zoo or watching a wildlife show and then it's only fleeting.

It hit me at around 11:30 why is it Hippo's eat only grasses but the males can grow to a weight of 7,000 pounds while the female bottoms out at 3,000. I enjoy salads as long as they're greeted by chicken or beef. These critters subsist on greens and yet they're huge. God surely has a wonderful sense of humor.

Another item or two about the big guy, It has teeth that grow to 1'8". Chomp, chomp, chomp. Hippos, according to my source, are the most feared animal alive. Lions shy away as do crocodiles, One mighty bite and they can be cut in half.

I came across a few interesting facts about the monsters. Enjoy. https://www.ugandasafariexperts.com/blog/39-interesting-facts-about-hippos

Stoking The Fires Of Hatred

President Joe Biden proclaimed that 'white supremacist terrorists' are the worst threat to the homeland today, directly before asking Congress to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act by next month.

I don't know about you but when I hear these words I'm more inclined to look over my shoulder not once but twice. We've all heard stories about Blacks in years gone past living in the South with their eyes cast to the ground when Whitey was on the same side of the street or Blacks who crossed to the other side of the street in order to avoid confrontation. Lord knows I don't want someone saying to me, "Hey boy, get outta town."

Oh, to let you know there's a 'Back the Blue' rally at the Capitol in downtown Columbus this Saturday morning. Attendees have to sign in online and we'll be admitted into an enclosure. It makes sense to me since, most likely, the haters will be in attendance. Yes, I signed up. If I should die don't think you'll be mentioned in my will. It all goes to The Queen.

Yep, This Is Me

I plead guilty on this------sort of. I don't recall our phone number because I rarely called it but I did call Dick Musser's home at 1736J numerous times daily. Being a telephone operator had to be a tedious operation.

Women who use marijuana during pregnancy are putting their babies at risk, a study published Thursday finds.

Babies born to women who were heavy cannabis users during pregnancy are more likely to have health problems, including premature birth and death within a year of birth, compared to babies born to women who did not use cannabis during pregnancy, according to an analysis of nearly 5 million California women who gave birth between 2001 and 2012. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/national-international/heavy-marijuana-use-during-pregnancy-linked-to-premature-birth-early-infant-death/2613855/

The 'California Plan' To Solve The Opioid Crisis

Instead of putting opioid users in jail, a proposal moving through the California Legislature would give them a safe place to inject drugs under supervision to ensure they don’t die from accidental overdoses. https://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2021/04/22/california-senate-passes-bill-for-supervised-sites-for-drug-users/

It's About The Masks

In looking a photos of last night's Democrat lovefest one couldn't help but notice all those in attendance, aside from the one at the podium, where all wearing masks.

My question is, if all these people are fully vaccinated and still wearing masks are they telling us the vaccine doesn't work?

A 737 Jumbo jet contains 900 square feet and  can hold 200 people. Masks required. The House of Representatives has over 10,000 square feet and only 200 were allowed in for this extravaganza masks not required but they wore them anyway.

Quotes Of The Day(And It's Just Starting)

“We have to do more than build back better. We have to build back better.”

"January 6th was the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War."

Worse that Pearl Harbor or 9/11?. I wonder if it is worse than the Senate bombing in 1983(But this doesn't count because the 7 charged were communists instead of Right Wingers) or WWI. Woodrow Wilson's call to arms was based on the phrase, "To save the world for democracy." Call me naive but I truly believe the Election of 2020 is the greatest attack on our democracy, but that's only me------------and 80 million others.

Rush Limbaugh

In listening to reruns on the Rush radio show today I learned that in the United States 20% of the people pay 80% of the taxes. 40% of the people pay zero taxes AND they can receive refunds via the earned income tax credit.

In New York City with 8 million people 34,500 individuals pay in taxes for 4 million of the lucky ones.

These taxes, according to Democrats, are considered 'contributions'.

Tonight, after Joey B's snoozefest , we'll learn more about the freebies that'll be given to the entitled crowd.

When One Doesn't Learn To 'Resist'

Think Of The Children

In the year 2020 there were 584 deaths of COVID for youngsters between the ages of 15-24. Most of these were due to underlying causes. This number is bad for the parents and relatives but in the bigger picture the percentage compared with 331 million is infintisimal.

On the other hand during this same period and using the same age group there were 6,100 of our youth who committed suicide. The top age bracket: 25-34 with 10,000 suicides.

I'm Setting Goals

We all need to seek out goals to make our lives better. Some call these goals 'bucket lists'. I've sought out many of these goals in life; some I've achieved and some I haven't and probably never will but a guy can dream can't he?

If you're a follower of this blog you know I've been on the Nutri-System Plan. It's going okay. After three weeks I've dropped 14 lbs. into the garbage can; only 20 more to go. I've done it before and I'll do it again in time. The day that goal is reached one bucket list item will kick in. I can see it now.

There's one thing you can say about this kid. I never learn.

Are You Fearful Of Being Tracked?

For a long time I knew that if I used Google I'd suffer the chance being tracked by Big Tech or the government. Let's face it. Conservatives are in the crosshairs. Well, I finally decided to use DuckDuckGo.com as my search engine. It's the best way to be safe. Trust me on this one.

Lock 'Em Up And Throw Away The Key

On the heels of the news that California Universities will mandate covid vaccines, one Miami private school is bucking that trend.

Instead, Centner Academy in Miami will not allow vaccinated teachers to be near students.

They will also not employ anyone who has had a covid shot.

The reason, Centner said, was that vaccinated adults “may be transmitting something from their bodies”. https://welovetrump.com/2021/04/27/miami-private-school-will-deny-employment-to-those-vaccinated/

Our Children Will Suffer

Hasbro said Tuesday it would raise prices of toys and games to counter higher raw material costs as the company sees surging demand for its Nerf blasters and board games from families spending more time at home. https://nypost.com/2021/04/27/hasbro-toys-games-to-get-more-expensive-as-costs-surge/

If you've been reading you're aware that what is going on involves more than children. Prices on all items are skyrocketing beginning with fuel. Then comes home costs; lumber is up 70%. The costs of used cars and trucks in unbelievably through the roof. But, what does expect with this administration?

Had Enough?

The player introductions from Tuesday’s Jeopardy! caused quite an uproar on Twitter as many viewers were left wondering if returning champion Kelly Donohue made a hand gesture which has been classified as a symbol of hate by the Anti-Defamation League. The symbol, which is often referred to as the “OK” sign, has been tied to white supremacists.

Context does matter. One fan pointed out that Donohue held up fingers during his previous introductions in correlation to how many games he had won, and coming into Tuesday he had won three games so he held up three fingers.

What Donohue hoped to communicate with his gesture is open to interpretation, but it should be noted that his third place earnings did help make our global society a little bit better. “Jeopardy!” donated $23,600 to Justice Defenders, which brings legal support to those who wouldn't otherwise have it in East Africa.

Hunter Biden is teaching a class on fake news at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana this fall.

The course titled 'Media Polarization and Public Policy Impacts' will include several guest speakers throughout its 10 weeks, including the president's son.

"Joe, Give It A Rest."

Joe Biden wore his face mask outside alone, breaking new CDC guidance while announcing the new guidance on Tuesday.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its Covid-19 guidelines on Tuesday and said fully vaccinated people can exercise and gather outdoors without wearing face masks.

If you're on trial for murder but the autopsy of the victim tests positive for COVID do you get off?

COVID Is Here To Stay

Dr. Harvey Risch, a Professor of Epidemiology at Yale University, is a brave voice of reason during the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic.

In August, Dr. Risch accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of causing the deaths of “hundreds of thousands of Americans” who could have been saved by the cheap and safe antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine.

On Friday, Dr. Risch told the War Room that 60 percent of new Covid patients have been vaccinated. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/04/yale-epidemiologist-half-new-covid-patients-vaccinated-video/

There Are Bad Cops, Too

Loveland, Colorado – Horrifying bodycam video released recently shows two Colorado police officers manhandling a 73-year-old woman with dementia after she tried to shoplift $13 worth of groceries from a Walmart last June.

Karen Garner, 73, only weighs 80 pounds but she was manhandled and body-slammed by police officers, causing her to fracture her elbow and dislocate her arm. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/04/horror-bodycam-footage-73-year-old-woman-dementia-manhandled-colorado-police-trying-shoplift-13-worth-items-walmart-released/

To add fuel to the fire a video was shown of the two cops in question watching a video of the incident after the fact and laughing about it. Common sense tells me they'll be out of a job and rightly so.

Who's The Party Of The Rich Now?

Democrats represented 65% of taxpayers with a household income of $500,000 or more in 2020, according to IRS data, while 74% of taxpayers in Republican districts have household incomes of less than $100,000.

In 1993, the dynamic was reversed, with the typical Republican congressional district showing it was 14% wealthier than its Democratic counterpart. In 2020, data shows those Republican districts were now 13% poorer. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/04/irs-data-shows-democrats-now-party-rich/

Definition Of A Gaffe

“A gaffe is when a politician tells the truth—some obvious truth he isn’t supposed to say.” Yesterday, VP Kamala Harris, speaking about her planned video meetings today with Guatemalan “community leaders,” revealed her true priorities, and they don’t make the interests of American citizens her top concern.

"In addition, tomorrow I will meet with Guatemalan community leaders and I’m eager to hear their thoughts. The people of the region, of course, must be at the center of everything we do."

"We Will Bury You"

The infamous Soviet leader, Nikita Khrushchev, once proudly announced about the United States, "We will bury you." One of the first methods in this process was to take over our education systems. It's happening.

Two Roosevelt University professors in Illinois who also serve on the Oak Park and River Forest High School school board were caught on an open Zoom call bragging about how they promote Marxist re-organization of American society to their college students.

Talking before the start of OPRF's Feb. 26 board meeting on a live microphone, Gina Harris and Ralph Martire said they were proud to advocate for so-called "social justice" Marxist economic concepts. https://westcooknews.com/stories/591458925-it-s-all-social-justice-all-day-every-day-socialist-oprf-school-board-members-caught-gloating-on-zoom

Quote Of The Day

"Civilizations die by suicide, not by murder."

                                          Historian Arnold Toynbee

Grade And High School Stories From Boone Iowa

From grade one thru grade eight I attended Sacred Heart School in Boone, Iowa. The nuns ruled the place like Al Capone's Chicago. Instead of wearing a holster then had a ruler for knuckle breaking. We were taught via our parents to believe any and all things said by them. When I was in grade 1 I came home from school. My mother asked me what I learned that day. "Sister said, I told her, that God is a string bean." My parents laughed and I was angry because 'Sister said'. Turns out I was wrong. What Sr. Mary Calasanctus said was, "God is a Supreme Being." Maybe I was coloring at the time and not paying attention. Another time I was showing off in my sisters class of 4th grade about how smart this second grader happened to be. I don't recall  the question form Sr. Baptiste but my answer was Kalestine instead of Palestine. Everybody laughed. I didn't. Even at that age I knew how to give the finger.

We had a not so smart kid in the school, Johnny Joe. Once he scored a 2% on a math quiz. From then on his nickname was Milk. For some reason I never glommed onto a nickname that can be repeated in mixed company. That's okay, though. My other buddies were known as Fat, Spider Legs, Hing, Tanny(he started of as a 97 lb. weakling then started lifting weights with great success) as in Vic Tanny, Crazy Man, and Sweat. He was amazing. It could be 40 below zero and droplets of sweat would drop off him.

Being a 9 year old kid is weird. For me it was akin to being in 10th grade. We were clueless even though we tried to fake everyone out. At age of nine in the fourth grade Bowmans's Shoe Store put in a machine whereby one put his feet in it and could see their bones. It was an x-ray gizmo. I'm surprised none of us came down with bone cancer as much as it was used.

In the fifth grade my very favorite nun, favorite teacher of all time, Sister Dolerine had a heart attack in class but I was home sick. Devastation set in when I found out. She was replaced by Sr. Louis Joseph. Yuck! She was like having Nurse Ratchett. I do believe I wrote this once but it's worth repeating. I never heard about Sister Dolerine from 1955 until my grandfather died in 1975. I was at the funeral home and someone told me she was visiting at the convent and was going to make a visit. We're talking about my favorite teacher and I told myself I was her very favorite student. Anyway, she came to the mortuary and I approached her and mentioned all that I've previously said. Then she uttered these knife in the heart words, "Oh Wayne, it's so good to see you. We did have a Wayne in our class but he ended up going to jail.

Aside from putting Limburger Chesse in the school heating vents at Sacred Heart we guys. our gang six, were fairly tame. Once I dropped the F bomb in referring to a girl--to her face--but that was about it for nonsense. I mean, what 10 year old kid hasn't used the F word? My parents weren't too pleased.

Kids today that have every electronic toy in the world would suffer a severe case of boredom in the 50's and 60's. Once again at age 9 I mentioned to my parents I'd like to join the YMCA. Mom flipped out. She thought it was an organization that would teach us to give up Catholicism. Honestly, that never entered my mind. Besides Sister said we'd go to hell if we weren't Catholics. Argument settled.

The 'Y' had a basketball court of sorts. It had a concrete floor, wasn't close to being normal sized and the out of bounds was surrounded by brick walls.

For fun upstairs we'd take a checker and play hockey. One player had a short stick as did the other. The idea of winning was to put the checker through a hole. There was a ping pong table and that's about it. Some fun, huh? For refreshments we'd buy a bottle of Coke and drop in Planters Peanuts. We lived on the wild side.

On Friday night's the head man, Carl 'No Nonsense" Saubert held what was called GRID. I'm positive the letters stood for something special but I never asked.  It was 1961 and we were the coolest guys in the world or so we thought. For two hours songs were played and this was the spot where high school love affairs began. As for me I didn't dance. It wasn't that I was afraid of girls. Oh heck, I was. Who am I trying to kid. Example, during basketball season of my sophomore year my ankle was in a cast due to a bad sprain. I was was getting around school on crutches and one of the big kids, a girl in the 11th grade, asked how my ankle was. The poetry coming out of my mouth was, "Sore". That's it. I said sore. Pretty smooth, huh? At GRID I mostly stood next to the brick walls with other classmates who didn't want to dance or didn't know how. I fit both categories. The 'cool guys' in our class were Wally Free and Terry Pollard. The girls, and I don't know why, had a thing for them. Many of us called them 'Hoods". Maybe high school girls did like the bad boys.

When I left Sacred Heart in 1960 I was a straight A student. When I left high school I hung between a C+ and B-. Studying wasn't my bag. Not to worry it carried over into college so I was on a roll.

And that is most likely why I went into teaching. You've all heard the phrase, "Those that can do. Those that can't teach."

The Academy Duds

Did you watch the Oscar's last night? Neither did I and evidently a whole lot of other citizens and illegals.

Last years record low viewership was 23.64 million people. Hang onto your popcorn. The numbers are in for watching: And the magic figure is----tah dah-------- 9.85 million.

I wonder the reason for this. I think we all know.

Good Memories

I wasn't alive during WWII but aside from the war I can't think of a better era to be alive. I've been watching a movie on TCM titled 'Stage Door Canteen'. It contains six bands at a war canteen( a place where young women went to dance with the soldiers). Two questions? Will we ever again see the likes of Benny Goodman again and (2) wouldn't it be wonderful if our youth discovered 'The Jitterbug'.?

If anything the war united the people. It made patriotism the law of the land without Congress having a hand in it. People went to church and actually prayed to God.

In Hilliard Ohio, a burb connected to Dublin, there's a dog park that is A+. It's partitioned for the large ones and the other is for the mighty mites like my Charlie. It's 200 yards in length and 100 years wide. In the center is a gazebo. A person could have a picnic and your best pal is able to find shade.  Three-fourths of the area  is grass. The rest is composed smalls rocks. Whoever came up with this was brilliant. Your best friend can urinate on the rocks and save the turf.

I watched intently this morning as my guy rambled up to the other canine. After the obligatory butt sniff(I believe it's the same as a handshake) the kids scramble and strut their stuff. Once in awhile two of these dogs will snip and snarl at each other. Isn't that what humans do? It's only for a brief short time then order returns.

It's easy for me to tell when my Charlie is ready to go home. It takes around thirty minutes of dashing to and fro then he comes over to where I'm sitting on a bench and parks underneath. Then I'll say, "Are you ready to go home?". He gets up and waits for me to clip his leash and the we leave. Dogs are so like humans it's scary.

A 100% Schmuck And Traitor

Former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry informed Iran that Israel had carried out at least 200 covert strikes against Iranian targets, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif revealed in a leaked recording obtained by the New York Timeshttps://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2021/04/26/iran-fm-zarif-john-kerry-told-us-about-secret-israeli-strikes-against-iranian-targets/

Why Did LeBron Change His Mind?

In 2016 LeBron James said, “I’m not up here saying all police are bad because they’re not. I’m not up here saying that all, you know, kids are great, and all adults are great because they’re not. But at the same time, all lives do matter, and it not just about, it’s not black or white, it’s not that, it’s everyone.”

Is it possible Trump's election had an impact on this or was money involved?

Is The USA The Murder Capitol Of The World?

If one listens to Hollywood liberals or Democrats in general you'd believe the United States is the murder capitol of not just the world but the entire universe.

Why I'm almost afraid to go downtown for fear of losing my life. Do you know the number one country in the world for gun murders? My suspicion is 90% of the people would say it's the land of the free and the home of the brave. But they'd be wrong. This honor goes to the country of Honduras. Go figure!

Anyway of the 220 or so nations in the world the U.S. ranks number 110(or 111) in the number of murders per capita. And if one takes away the number of murders from Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit and Oakland we're sniffing through tall cotton and that's a good thing. Sooo, the next time some far left loons start bloviating about guns and murders very politely tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.
