In perusing Covid info this morning I learned that six years after the Salk vaccine was introduced to stop the spread of polic only 54% of the people had been vaccinated. I wonder why the government didn't mandate it. Maybe it's because all those south of the Mason-Dixon line didn't have telephones or radios. 

Do you remember how we all praised our first responders when the Panicdema first broke out? Not so anymore. They're hated and detested because thousands of them haven't been vaxxed. Beginning Friday and moving forward thousands up thousands of Americans will be fired for trying to exert their rights of citizens under the Constitution of the United States. It's something akin to leper colonies of earlier times, isn't it?

Glenn Beck was talking about the Democrat $3.5-$5 trillion tax plan. He stated that hidden in it is a mandate that drivers of cars must submit their miles driven to the government when they file taxes. I wonder why.

Also in the bill is a proposed law that any time a minimum of $600.00 is added or taken from a bank that amount must be reported to the IRS. Wow! So, if I write a check to the Republican National Committee will anyone care?

As long as we're talking about the $3.5-$5 trillion thingy there's a provision in it calling for $3 billion to make up what's called 'tree inequity' in this country. It's the first time I ever heard that trees were racist but it is the 2020's I guess anything goes. Actually, what it says is communities that don't have as many trees as others i.e. the south side of Chicago, will have trees planted to reduce carbon emissions so that more people can survive the oncoming calamity created by climate change.

A Sobering Statistic

 I won't go on a mask rant today but will present a fact or two for your consumption. There's a movement around the country to mask kids as young at 2. I doubt little thought has been given to the long term mental problems these kids will face.

According to the CDC the number of six year olds dying of Covid is 6 out of 4 million children in this country. As one approaches age 12 the number of deaths skyrockets to 10. That would be ten as in one more than nine and one less than 11.

If you aren't impressed with these numbers I suggest you research the number of children from birth to age 12 who are killed in car accidents, accidental gun shootings, falling out of trees or off garage roofs. How about those who die from ingesting a cleaning fluid from under the kitchen sink? Or, consider the children who are murdered by abusive parents, those who don't force their children into masks.

In driving to Giant Eagle Food store I wondered what life would be like for kids in say, 2040. Young Tommy gets invited for a sleepover at his pal, Jeffs.

Time Flies Why You're Having Fun

 Whoever thought time would go bye as quickly as it does? Not I for certain. Many is the night I'll lie in bed and think about events that took place when I was a young kid, or a high school student and even college.

Today I got smacked in the face. The eldest of my ten grandchildren turned seventeen. Can it be possible? He's a great kid; attends Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati. He's brilliant in the classroom and an outstanding in track. Well, those last two items never applied to me. Their brains must have come from their mother and as for track speed when I ran you would have had to pound stakes to see if I was moving.

The lad has his heart set on going to Notre Dame. I blame that mistake on his other grandfather. Regardless, now that he's 17 I'm very much feeling my age. I know I'm not the only guy who's had grandkids aging but as my daughter once said after I reprimanded her when she was 13, "It isn't fair".

Life isn't fair but we survive.

 In my garage I have three tackle boxes chock full of fishing lures and other fishing paraphanalia. I often wonder why because at our Minnesota lake, Ten Mile, it could comparably be compared to the Dead Sea.

Even so, when I'm Up North I'll hop in my boat and start the 75 hp Mercury and head out with visions of bringing home a lunker. I'm so out of it I'll even turn on the switch to activate the boats live well.

 Folks, being the baseball fan that I am I had to note the demise of the Cleveland baseball team. This coming Monday is the last home game and because the team owners decided to change the name of the team it's the last time term Indians will be used------------except by real Americans. 

I started collecting baseball cards in 1952. I was always pleased when I opened my packet of five cards, bubble gum included, and got an Early Wynn, a Bob Feller, an Al Rosen or a Bobby Avila. Why" Because in the upper corner of the card was a logo of Chief Wahoo. The pictue fascinsated me and I liked it.

The first question that came to mind when I thought about the new name, The Guardians: Will people be allowed in the stadium if they wear the old garb? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah right, sort of like when the U.S.S. Cole was bombed and ten died. Clinton bloviated about how we going to hunt down these terroritsts and bring them to justice. Fat chance of that. Not to be outdone Kamala was on The View this morning and utter the same fragant lies about whipping illegals. I don't know about Kammy but Joe needs to hit the confessional for lying.

It really doesn't matter, does it, a possible corruption in voting? Besides, it's Friday and there are a slew of college football games on television tomorrow followed by NFL games on Sunday and the baseball playoffs on the horizon.

This scenario may just play out this afternoon at 3pm EDT when the audit of the Arizona election is released. From what I've read Biden may have picked up votes in Maricopa County which means his presidency is legit. But, what he's done to this country since January 20 is a sin.

 On the Richter Scale this story won't create a ripple but it does say a great deal about our government. Yesterday, the president of South Korea flew to Hawaii along with the remains of U.S. soldiers killed in the Korean Conflict. He wanted to pay homage to those who gave their lives.

Sadly, not a single representative of the Biden Administration deemed the ceremony worthy of their presence.
