College Debt; A Rip-Off For The Normal Person
If you've been living in Barbados sucking down fruity cocktails you might have missed the latest story that Joltin' Joe is strongly considering reducing the debt of college students by $10,000 per year. Forget for a moment that the parents of 70% of these students make on average $300,000 per year. Also, please forget these spoiled little urchins promised to pay back any money borrowed. I wonder what would happen if these same kids took out a loan from Guido in NYC and then when he asked for his cash they said, "FU, moron."
Of course, yours truly borrowed money to attend Coe College in 1965. The government had passed a bill called the National Defense Education Act. It provided money for those students who told them they were going into the teaching field and upon graduation only had to pay back 50% of what they borrowed. My parents were making money slightly above the poverty level so I took advantage of what was being offered. You might have guessed by now that 70% of this borrowing went unpaid. I researched this 'thievery' a number of years ago and you might be shocked to learn that those who re-nigged became lawyers and doctors by a great percentage.
On the other hand I was a stupid history/PE Major and along with my Catholic conscience felt compelled to pay back the loan. Two years after I graduated and into a teaching coach position I gave back to the government $50 per month until the debt was paid all the while raising two young children on $7,000 per year.. Boy, was I stupid or what? I can imagine having to hire a lawyer or some doctor who cheated his ass off while I was performing my civic duty.
Flash forward twenty years or so. My daughter ended up at the Univ of Northern Iowa costing me $12,000 per. My son, one year younger than my daughter, was at Iowa State and that cost us $15,000 yearly. Three years later our youngest matriculated at John Carroll Univ. at a cost $25k per. We paid the bills. It was our obligation. It was our civic duty.
And now our government is strongly considering to eradicate student debt, a debt these kids promised to pay. Well, you know the outcome of this. The taxpayer, moi', will have to pick up the tab. I don't know about you but it doesn't seem quite right-----------especially considering these little pieces of vermin will probably vote communist.
Pardon Me For Being Proud
As grandparents we have very little reason to brag on our grandchildren's successes except by referring to the gene pool. All of our ten grandchildren have their special talents and this is typical of every family.
We have a grandson in Cincinnati who as a pre-teen tried a variety of sports; baseball, basketball and track. The last one is where he found his niche. As an 8th grader he set three school records as a runner. What I liked was he set his goals as a 7th grader and accomplished his dreams.
But, 8th grade is a far cry from high school. The lad, my grandson, attends Summit Country Day in Cincinnati and even as a 9th grader ran anchor on the sprint teams. As junior he ran anchor on the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams. Sadly, in both events to get to the state finals one of the guys(not my guy) dropped the baton with victory in sight. Sometimes, God has a different plan.
Last Saturday his 4x200 team won their event and will now shoot for a state championship in Columbus. Going into that state championship they are the #2 seed .50 behind the leader. In accomplishing this recent victory they set a school record and, shockingly, were the first in school history to make it to the state finals.
I always tell him that I'll pray a rosary, not that he wins, but that he does his very best.

I have no idea what this means.
Remembering When Our Government Supplied Guns To Cartels
Does anyone remember when the O'biden administration gave assault rifles to the Mexican cartels. It was called Fast & Furious.
'Operation Fast and Furious was an Obama program in which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) helped put heavy weapons into the hands of murderous drug cartels in Mexico. The whole scandal exploded when a federal agent was murdered with a Fast and Furious gun. As the story threatened to bring down key Obama officials, the spin was put out that it was all part of a supposed “investigation” into “drug cartels.” However, massive amounts of evidence emerged in the subsequent months and years suggesting that it was actually a criminal operation to blame the Second Amendment for violence, with the supposed targets of the alleged “investigation” already on the FBI payroll. Indeed, top lawmakers and gun-rights activists have said the operation was intended to be exploited by Obama to push gun-control, but it blew up in the administration’s face when federal agents blew the whistle'.

The World Economic Forum and the globalist movement it helps lead have used the “climate crisis” and the COVID-19 pandemic as pretexts for measures to redistribute the wealth of nations.

And not to be outdone the federal government was forced to admit they, not the sun, started the largest fire in New Mexico history. Two blazes that grew into New Mexico’s largest ever wildfire were both started by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), the agency said on Friday, prompting the state’s governor to demand the federal government take full responsibility for the disaster, Trend reports citing Reuters. Forest Service investigators determined the Calf Canyon Fire was caused by a “burn pile” of branches that the agency thought was out but reignited on April 19, the Santa Fe National Forest said in a statement.

So Many Questions-----So Few Answers
Regarding the Texas shooting there is still no info on how a ne’er do well, miscreant, dropout who cuts his own face up with no visible means of support purchases $2K in guns, $500 accessory mags, $2K ammo (try and find that ammo on shelves) and $1K body armor.
Grandma and Grandpa had no idea? That much ordnance isn’t easy to hide. Where and who stashed it for him to use? Something STINKS and that’s precisely why that info is being withheld. Doesn’t advance Democrat gun confiscation of law abiding Americans. Democrats are up to their necks with CARTELS, labor/sex slaves, drugs, weapons and there is no doubt they’re vile and vicious enough to slaughter a score of 7 year olds to make an example.
After all, Democrats have murdered 63 million babies in the womb, more right on the birthing table and are now starving the ones who escaped.
What happened to the resource officer who wasn’t there but supposedly drove back to school after the report? Was he out to lunch? Why did the teacher leave the door open and unlocked? Have you heard even one of the corrupt media ask any of those questions?
"Fellas, Straighten Out Your Own City First"
It's automatic.
San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler will no longer stand with his team for the national anthem until he "feels better about the direction of our country" in the wake of the Texas school shooting on Tuesday that left 19 students and two teachers dead.Kapler spoke with reporters ahead of Friday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds to explain his choice not to participate in the national anthem, a decision he first revealed in a lengthy blog post earlier in the day."I don’t plan on coming out for the anthem going forward until I feel better about the direction of our country," he told reporters. "That’ll be the step. I don’t expect it to move the needle necessarily. It’s just something I feel strongly enough about to take that step."
"You know the bad thing about this rain, it’s not raining in San Francisco to clean up all the dirty-ass streets they got there."

A New Kind Of Abortion
Blame It On Joe
Students in Uvalde, Texas say school lockdowns have become routine because of frequent high-speed car chases by Border Patrol of illegal aliens reported Buzzfeed this week. A year ago to the week of the mass school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that took place Tuesday killing 19 third and fourth grade children and two teachers, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that Joe Biden’s open borders policies had turned his small western Texas town into the “Wild Wild West.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/05/uvalde-robb-elementary-school-lockdown-due-gunshots-area-announced-students-staff-safe-teacher-propped-door-open/
Wishing Our Problems Away
Americans can be strange people some time. Oh, everyone in the world can be sort of weird, too, but I don't really give a flying crap about the rest of the world.
Is it only me or, considering the massive numbers of 'problems' we're having-----------Well, for me this picture comes to mind.
Where The Phrase 'Dead In The Water' Originated
It's probably just me that I'm overly concerned with the southern border and the ramifications of millions of illegals coming across. Watch and listen to Rep. Mike Johnson excoriate the Director of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas. And yet, no one seemingly cares. https://www.c-span.org/video/?c5013602/user-clip-rep-mike-johnson-excoriates-mayorkas

Why Democrats Suck Guts
In February 2018, a crazed teen gunman who was on the FBI* radar, opened fire on students inside the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The psychopath who had threatened murder several times in his past killed 17 people and injuring 17 others.
This was not the first school shooting in America. It was not the last.
In July 2020 top Democrats introduced legislation to get police out of schools despite the slaughtered children.
Senator Chris Murphy told his fellow lawmakers, “Police shouldn’t be in schools.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/05/blood-hands-democrats-introduced-bill-get-police-schools-despite-slaughtered-children-video/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=the-gateway-pundit&utm_campaign=dailyam&utm_content=2022-05-27
*Does it seem to you as it does me the FBI surely has screwed up many, many times?
So, What Happened
It doesn't take an Einstein to come up with some answers to the question in the picture. I went through the basics the other day but it might be good to reiterate some thoughts. I'm 100% certain my readers can come up with a Baker's Dozen add on ideas, too.
1. Outlawing school prayer 2. Women going into the work force and out of the home 3. The Sixties drug culture 4. Liberalism 5. Abortion 6. Bella Abzug and Gloria Steinem 7. Hollywood 8. Communist college professors 9. An overabundance of female school administrators. 9. Television-Remember how we went from 'Father Knows Best' to 'Alf' and how dad's were portrayed as blithering idiots(can you say, Mr. Tanner). 10. Drugs, drugs and more drugs 11. Open borders for illegals(MS-13 and world terrorists) 12. Divorce rates that have reached over 50% and 70% in Black homes.(Did you know the divorce rate in Black families in the 1950's was at 12%) 13. Easy access to pornography 14. violent video games. 15. A decline in church attendance to below 50% of the population.
Please feel free to add on. I've only touched on the obvious.
I knew it wouldn't take long for an addition and it was done by the famous Council Bluffs Cowboy. How in the world I could forget the communist input of our famed media is beyond me but I did. Especially in the spotlight would be the New York Times, the only newspaper to employ two communist reporters and the Washington ComPost.
Isn't She Cute
Ho hum. Just another day at our Ten Mile Lake in Minnesota. Mrs. Smokey had her two cubs in the yard next to ours. It's best no one bothered her as she pulled down a bird feeder for an early morning snack.
"Mommy, Mommy, I Want One"

R.I.P. Shoeless Joe
"Joe, You're A Pawn"
Whenever politicians change their minds on a subject they say "My thinking has evolved." This is what Hillary said when she went from pro-life to pro-murder. I came across the segment of Joe from Meet The Press a few years ago.

And these clowns wonder why some of us absolutely hate them
I Wondered About This
A couple weeks ago I made a trip out and back to Olathe Kansas. On the way home I was forced to gas up at a station in Illinois, I hate spending money in that communist run state. It has the same appeal as when I would drive through Arkansas during the Bubba administration.
Anyway, I have a 15 gallon tank but after the fill the pump showed I had put in 16 gallons and when I started I still had 2 gallons of fuel in reserve.
Gee, you don't think there are shenanigans going on do you?
No-Thank-You
Would anyone in their right mind spend hard earned money on a combination of a Ritz cracker and an Oreo cookie?
Apparently, these people do. I'll pass, thank you.

Murder suspect Andrew Abdullah has 19 prior arrests, according to Fox News. He was arrested Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of Goldman Sachs executive Daniel Enriquez.

When You Want To Throw Up In Your Mouth
The FBI Was Too Busy
A female gamer reported a fellow online player to the FBI after he threatened to 'shoot up a school' when he lost their game - just hours before 18-year-old gunman Salvador Ramos killed 21 people in a Texas school massacre. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10856403/Dead-Daylight-player-threatened-shoot-school-AR-15-days-Texas-massacre.html
I can understand why the FBI didn't jump on this warning. They were too busy harassing public school parents at school board meetings.
Media Trickery?
The Texas shooter goes by the name of Salvador Ramos. I do believe it's an Hispanic name but what do I know?
Evidently, the MSM in the form of ABC wants us to guess his ancestry. They have a habit of doing this over the years.
Oh, wait a moment! That kid on the right, purported to be Ramos, looks like one of those dreaded Caucasians.
And The Hits Keep On A Comin'
"As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him."
B. Hussein Obama
Maybe he'd just annihilated a doobie before he sent it.

Food For Thought
Whoever thought the United States would have to rely on France, of all nations, to deliver us baby food?
Buckle Up Boys And Girls
Guess what? Jughead Joe spilled the beans this week. After blaming Putin for the rise in gas prices he told us it was all part of the plan-----------------the raising of gas prices.
It's The Normal Democrat Response
Folks, don't be fooled by the nabobs on the Left who will blame guns on the massacre in Texas. When Joe Biden went on television last night he did a nice job of calming the nation-------for about sixty seconds. He then started in on guns and the gun lobby. Such irresponsible asinine statements but it's the modus operandi of the political party trying to shove communism down our collective throats.
It's early in the information ballgame but I read an article on the background of the kid in the NY Post and he was a mental mess. One of the items immediately garnering my attention said is mother was a druggie. Gee, and his dad was where? Who knows? Please Joe Biden, shut up until you know what the heck is going on or you'll suffer the pains and arrows after your Kyle Rittenhouse situation or that of border guards whipping illegals.
Read the piece from the NY Post. It's the first of many. https://nypost.com/2022/05/25/details-emerge-on-texas-school-shooter-salvador-ramos-behavior/
Remembering
Reflection is a good thing. Obsessive reflection on one subject-------maybe not. But, we're all reflecting to one degree or another this morning. I have had multiple reflections. One of these regarded my high school days. I attended Boone, Iowa High School from 1961-64 where there were approximately 200 students in each class; grades 9-12.
Once every month of the school year the administration brought in a speaker to give an all-school talk. The speaker was a religious cleric from different churches in town. He spoke for an hour about Christianity in our lives. There were no student protests against these talks. We went to the auditorium and listened and then we left and went on with our lives. To be honest I cannot recall one piece of advice given by these men but still, we did as we were told and I don't recall too many mass shootings in those days. Oh, there have been mass shootings in our nations history but they began to pick up the pace in the late 1960's. http://behindthetower.org/a-brief-history-of-mass-shootings
It seems to me, and I'm no expert on any subject, the Sixties were the ending and beginning of great societal change; some good and some not so. Is there even a slight correlation between the loss of school prayer and our problems of 2022? The last statement has to be a simplification, I'm sure because so many other factors are involved; divorce, women going to work, legalized abortions, Dr. Timothy Leary; and the list goes on and on and on.
Have you reflected this morning? Try it. As more intelligent people than I say, "It's good for the soul."
