Of the 313 million souls in this country is there one who could be considered the most important? It might depend on how they relate to you. For instance, my most important person is The Queen. If it wasn't for her I'd be a bedraggled mess lying in the gutter. She makes my food, pays the bills, cleans our home and pays the taxes. If it wasn't for her I'd be living out of a rusted 1964 Volkswagen.
Depending on your interests you might pick another. Some would say Snoop Dog, their doobie provider, doctor or the bookie who takes his cash for sports bets.
I'm not trying to be flip about this subject. Those who know me realize I'm a very serious person except when I make a jackass out of myself by acting like a clown.
It is my belief there is one person who in the near future will change the course of the United States and our position in the world. His name is James Comey. Did you have think for a moment who this guy is? Are you still clueless? I m willing to wager if there was a man on the street quiz about Mr. Comey not three out of one hundred would know his biography.
Comey is the head of the FBI. He and his underlings have been given the task of researching Hillary's emails to determine if they are legal. If he decides she broke the law it is his duty to send his recommendations to our Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, an Obama appointee.
Lynch will then have the decision of indicting Clinton or letting her skate. If Hillary is indicted, if her closest associates, Huma and Chery Mills are also complicit, then Mrs. Clinton faces the prospect of prison(Please Dear God) or continuing on with her policy of being a corrupt serial liar.
Since I write this column I'm ready to make a few predictions on this subject. I do not believe Lynch will indict. The Democrat Party has a history of hiding their communists and other crooks under the table dating back to the days of Alger Hiss in the Franklin Roosevelt Administration. The Clinton's are still run a very powerful organization. The Arkansas Mafia is still alive and well and I'm certain they could blackmail whomever they wish to sick their attack dogs upon.
Besides, if Hillary goes, then so do the prospects of the Democrats retaining control of the White House. Sad isn't it? Politics always trumps the righteous.
I predict that either Comey or other FBI members will resign immediately if Lynch gives Hillary a pass.
I predict, if charges are brought, they will have more to do with the illegal cash the Clinton's received from foreign nations for the bogus Clinton Foundation than for traitorous emails.
That's my take. What's yours?

If Bill & Hill Could Have A Co-Presidency Why Not Cruz & Rubio
"In the wake of Tuesday’s primary results, however, another and easier path to defeating Trump has arisen; it can be Plan A. It basically relies on the patriotism, good sense, and rational self-interest of two men: Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. The plan is simple: Each candidate publicly pledges to support for president whichever of them has the most delegates to the Republican convention. In return, the winner will make the other one his running mate".

MJ Hawkeye Searches For Endorsements For The Presidency
An article in USA Today for Donald Trump popped up on my computer screen. "Wow", I thought, "John Daly has endorsed Donald Trump for President"! Is this the one(endorsement) that puts Trump over the top?
My quest for today is to search highways and byways of Dublin, Ohio along with the entire City of Columbus to garner as many endorsements for me as is humanly possible.
My first stop will take place across the street from where we live. The home owner is a friend so I will have no problem getting him to say yes. He was an All-American football player at Ohio State in 1958 and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. In his prime he was a very respected brain surgeon. All I have to do, I'm sure, is to say, "Doc, would you endorse me"?. He might ask, "For what"?. It doesn't matter", I'd say, "Just endorse me". I was only kidding, though. Before I left I told him I was running for President of the United States.
My best buddy in the Columbus area was a fantastic basketball player at the Univ. of Detroit and performed under the tutelage of Dick Vitale of ESPN fame and played in the NCAA tournament three times.. His name is Jeff. He's a potential endorsement. Better yet, Jeff's a Black man so I've got that going for me.
I don't know many more influential citizens of the area. I introduced myself to the head golf pro at my new club yesterday. He seems like a nice guy. Maybe I'll ask him. He's of Italian heritage. It's always good to have La Cosa Nostra in a guy's corner.
Getting back to John Daly: This true story was relayed to me by my son-in-law. His brother is a former PGA golfer playing on the Tour in the 1980's. He graduated from the Univ. of Arkansas and was a teammate of John Daly.
Five years ago, my son-in-laws brother, let's call him Mike, had returned to Arkansas as their head golf coach. College golf, not being a major sport, is always in need of money so Mike got the idea of having a fundraiser. He called the musical group, Hootie and the Blowfish, to perform and they gave him a 'thumbs up'.
At the time Daly had a show on the Golf Channel called the Daly Planet. Mike called his buddy and ex-teammate to see if he'd get behind the Arkansas golf program by having his TV show onsite and he, too, agreed to attend.
A good time was had by all, right? Not exactly. After the fundraiser had concluded the Arkansas Athletic Director, Frank Broyles, a legendary figure, was strolling through the men's locker room and came upon this scene: John Daly in the showers with Mike's top three scholarship golfers. Mr. Daly had convinced other Arkansas scholars to join them. In this case there were four female coeds frolicking in the water. Has the word 'naked' entered your mind.
The result was that the three young men, all from Sweden, were unceremoniously kicked off the squad. My best wild guess is Mike, the next time, when looking for an endorsement might set some ground rules for acceptable behavior.
Mike resigned his position immediately. I'm not certain if Mike and Daly have ever spoken again.
Endorsements are tricky things. It used to be if you had the Pope's endorsement you were as good as gold. I'm not so certain anymore.

Definition Of Demagogue: Does It Ring A Bell
- a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.
- A person who gains the support of the public by making impassioned speeches that appeal to their emotions and prejudices.
- a political leader who tries to get support by making false claims and promises and using arguments based on emotion rather than reason.
Are you getting my drift or, in order to get your attention. do I need to stuff cheery bombs up your nostrils and count to five?
Do you fall in the category of citizens who have been taken in by the demagogues in the world?
A couple thousand years ago there was a young fella who was a source of amazement and wonder. Many of the citizens of his country didn't know what to make of his presence. After a time elders in some of the communities feared he was going to take away their power. After all he did cite the possibility of a revolution but not of this earth. Anyway, these people who were the political leaders became demagogues to their own people and they succeeded in winning over hearts and minds. Their admonitions became so prominent in the land that their followers, acting like mind numbed robots screamed "Crucify Him, crucify Him". And they did. After the deed was done chaos rang throughout the land.

A New Kind Of Evangelical
Evangelical: "of or according to the teaching of the gospel or the Christian religion". It seems to me the definition for evangelical is straightforward or am I still living in my parents basement?
As of this writing 39% of evangelicals are giving their support to Donald Trump. I am flummoxed by this number unless the polling is not to be believed.
Has Trump convinced these folks he is a man of God? The front runner in the Republican Party has told us he is a Christian because he carries a Bible and attends church, which one I don't know, on Easter and Christmas.
There was a story in some such magazine, verified by Trump, when he walked to the communion altar and placed some cash on top of it. He thought it was the collection plate. So much for church attendance.
This is my huge problem with Trump's Christian stance. He stated, "I have never had to ask God for forgiveness".
In order to be a Christian we have to admit we are sinners and need God's forgiveness to enter into His kingdom. It's that simple. Evidently, Donald Trump considers himself on an equal plane God.
Evangelicals need to find another reason to support Mr. Trump because their religious practices don't cut it when giving Trump their vote.
If one gives it some thought there is always more than what appears to be logical. For instance, just because I'm a practicing Roman Catholic doesn't mean there were renegades who didn't vote for Obama. There were and there were plenty of these traitors. There are millions of so-called Catholics who've forgotten what the inside of church looked like.
So, just because one calls himself an evangelical( we all love labels) doesn't mean that person is a practicing one. My bet is these faux evangelicals are the ones giving Trump a boost.

It Was Not A Drubbing
Donald Trump won quite a few states in yesterday's Super Tuesday. Trumpsters are joyous.
Political, a left to center publication, called Trumps wins a drubbing. They are overstating the win to the maximum.
The Donald received 36% of all votes cast. If my parochial grade school math is correct this leaves 64% to the other guys. I mentioned a couple of months ago that Trump's favorability ratings were in the mid-thirties and would stay that way. His negatives were then and are now in the sixties.
If yesterday's voting was such a drubbing why is it Trump has only 90 more delegate votes than Cruz?
Let me explain the negatives. Republicans will not go to the polls to give him their vote. If you trust the polls they tell us that both Bernie and Hillary would win the presidency of Trump.
If you believe the Republicans lost with Mitt Romney when 4 million of his party stayed home wait until you see the election with Trump. It won't be pretty.
As a political junkie who follows closely the philosophy of each candidate I would be willing to contemplate voting for Trump if he laid out one plank of his platform. To this day I'm unfamiliar with how he's going to accomplish the promises he's making.
It isn't enough to say, "I'm going to make America great again". My question is how are you going to make this nation great again. What resources and whose are you going to use to build this wall? How will you, in detail, remove illegals from the United States? Don't tell me you're going to destroy ISIS. Tell me how you're going to destroy them.
At this point I'm not even certain Trump could pass a basic civics test.
