Michelle Malkin: "I Am Just A Blogger".

Even though he's a big time liberal I've always found Juan Williams of Fox News a likeable fellow----until now! A few days ago on the Hannity Show Williams referred to Malkin as 'just a blogger' while he was a real journalist. What an unmitigated sap! Malkin's response was a slapdown to Williams and deservedly so and was done in a speech at a conservative convention.

A few quotes from the speech include:
“Journalism is not something you are, it’s something you do.
“There are real reporters who won‘t even say the name ’Brett Kimberlin’ out of fear…The kind of harassment that I’ve gone through over the past twenty years pales in comparison to what these individuals bloggers [have gone through]…and we owe them so much for standing up, for telling the truth. Thank them, get their backs.”
“A lot of progressives…always ask me, ‘Why are you so mad?’ Why the hell shouldn’t I be mad? You’re trying to flush our country down the toilet! I‘m not going to tell you that you’re a nice person. And I think we need more people in Washington…not to concede that these people are ‘nice’ people.”
“Once you un-mask the Occupy movement, the next step is taking the future generation of wealth-creators and job-creators in this country and immunizing them against the progressive virus. So we can‘t wait until they’re in college…”
“We fight for our freedom, for our faith, and for our families, and that’s what distinguishes us from these miserable enemies…You know, if I had to be the crusader and a cheerleader for a culture of dependency and entitlement, and coercion, and a massive welfare state that crushed religious liberty, and individual liberty, and the free market, and innovation– I’d be pretty darn miserable, too.”

He IS Fundamentally Changing America

Legally, President Obama has reiterated the principle that he can pick and choose which U.S. laws he wishes to enforce (see his decision to reverse the order of the Chrysler creditors, his decision not to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, and his administration’s contempt for national-security confidentiality and Senate and House subpoenas to the attorney general). If one individual can decide to exempt nearly a million residents from the law — when he most certainly could not get the law amended or repealed through proper legislative or judicial action — then what can he not do? Obama is turning out to be the most subversive chief executive in terms of eroding U.S. law since Richard Nixon

Might Be A Fake

West "By God' Virginia

I was watching, The Five, last week. It's a very funny and informative show on Fox. Fat tub of lard and bleeding heart liberal, Bob Beckel, was commenting on a story about the pictured fella, Ray Dolin, of Julian, West Virginia. Dolin was hitchiking across America and was someplace out west when he said he was shot by a stranger. I'd shoot him, too. He had a pony tail down to his butt crack. I'm only kidding. Mr. Dolin said he was writing a book about the kindness of strangers in America. Of course, Beckel commented that this was another reason guns should be banned and it was a crying shame that good people have to suffer because of redneck right wingers. You do know what's is coming, don't you? It turns out the dude from the Mountaineer state shot himself to gain some notoriety and further increase his book sales. This guy could replace our vice-president.

Sarah Palin On The Media

Sarah Palin in a recent speech remarked: “But say for the sake of argument that [the media] couldn’t afford to do the job. They couldn‘t afford to send reporters to Chicago to research a candidate’s record because, say, they spent all their money in Wasilla…Why, at least, did they not read his autobiography?”

Ol' MJ has the answer to this. The elite media didn't(and doesn't) give a flying crap.

"Hey Mom! I Just Got A Tattoo"

At The Lake-Finally

It's a 1000 mile haul from Muirfield Village in beautiful Dublin, Ohio to even more beautiful and tranquil Ten Mile Lake outside of Hackensack, Minnesota. We've had the cabin since 1994 and with massive improvements it's turned out to be our On Golden Pond. Three times in my life I've driven the trip non-stop; all sixteen hours of it. I wonder what it is about being in the sixties rather than the forties and fifties that causes behind the wheel body destruction. Journeys of any consequence are now done in what are called 'legs'; short bursts of motoring until the eyelids begin to droop. Aside from the Chicagoland adventure there was another dubious event that best explains my erratic behavior. While traversing Highway 30 a few miles west of Ft. Wayne, Indiana I spied a Wal-Mart. Since my wallet contained a few more bills than I'm used to and the butt needed some activity I felt this would be a good time to stop and pick up some necessaries for when I arrived in Minnesota. I've been on a 'sort of' non-sugar kick so I bought apples and bananas. There was toothpaste to purchase along with eye drops, extra underwear, and golfing socks. It was about twenty bucks or thereabouts. From this burg, Columbia City, I drove into Wisconsin and it was at Janesville I spied a Starbucks so I pulled in(I hate when this happens)for a twelve oz. cup of luscious Yukon Gold just to get me another fifty miles to Madison. I'm a pig by nature but even to me it was evident that the front end of my Mazda was loaded with papers, cups and trash in general and looked like the city dump. I did something I rarely do unless under duress from Lizzie. I cleaned the car. I grabbed a plastic bag and threw in the banana peels and apple cores along with some other junk and dropped it in the trash as I entered Starbucks. That night and four hours later as I was about to belly crawl into a motel I started looking for my Wal-Mart purchase. Then it hit me. I hope whoever takes out the trash at Starbucks in Janesville has the good fortune to look in the garbage. He or she will know it's my stuff especially if the BVD's read size 38.
In Madison I had dinner with a very lovely couple. The wife was a high school classmate of mine in 1964 and we had not spoken to or seen each other since then. It's a long story, but a nice one on how we got together. They're 'Iowa People'; good values, good humor and don't find it necessary put on the dog. In other words, the salt of the earth type of folks you want as friends.. I do have to mention that we met at the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union. I was one of a handful who did not have an Obama or Recall Walker bumper sticker on my car; a non-visual badge of honor.
It was another seven hour drive to the lake and with a stopover in Nekoosa, Wisconsin for golf I made it to 'Hack' at 10PM. The sun had just set. I was disappointed because it's a 2.3 mile trip on a gravel road to our place. Normally at that time of night I'll see deer, an occasional porcupine, fox or other nocturnal animals. Not this night.
It's been 24 hours since I've arrived. The car is still loaded and will be until tomorrow. I will be doing my favorite pastime for the next two days; sleeping. Also, I'll have to get some new underwear unless some of you kindly readers send me some of your stuff. Remember, it's size 38. No boxers, please.
