Didn't We Have A Government Shutdown

Didn't we go through a government shutdown recently? I think the Dems are blaming the 'Pubs for causing a wasted $24 billion dollars because of it. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have been vilified by members of their own parties(Wusses) and the communists on the Left. Here's the real dope as I understand it: Cruz and Lee wanted a one year delay in the implementation of ObamaCare for the general public. That would equal what Obama implemented for Big Business(Unconstitutionally, of course). Well, yesterday a gaggle Dem Senators up for election Communists were screaming for a one year delay of putting the American people into the abyss of Hell. Call me stupid but isn't this the same thing Cruz and Lee recommended? Isn't this the reason for the shutdown. Would  you like to know who's really incompetent? It's we, the American people, who tolerate this nonsense.
Which brings me to another subject. It's the newly published and now on the market book by Peter Schweizer. It's titled, "Extortion". I read sixty pages last evening. The basic premise is, members of Congress, without saying it or putting it in writing, let businesses know that if they want a law to go their way or against a competitor, they'd better fork over some big cash to that congressman.  It's called PAC money and that congressman can use it for his personal use. I'm proud to write that my congressman, Pat Tiberi(Wuss), made the list of extortionists along with one of the king's of extortion, John Boehner.
