I'm about to write a very sexist statement. Female school administrators/teachers are ridiculous in their thinking. And it's all come about because of the 'War on Boys' that we've seen in the past few decades. I can't tell you the number of times I've read stories about schools dropping sports programs because kids get hurt, even at recess. We need to settle rambunctious boys down in the classroom so let's fill them full of Ritalin, so-called experts say. Three weeks ago a high school out east dropped high school football in the middle of the season because of the hurt factor. It so happens this high school had a program longer than any high school in the United States. It also should be noted that White House spokesman, Jay Carney, graduated from this school so that, in part, explains their wussy attitude.
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- A New York state middle school has banned footballs, baseballs and other recreational objects from the playground due to a recent string of injuries.
Port Washington schools Superintendent Kathleen Maloney said the policy banning objects including footballs, baseballs and lacrosse balls at Weber Middle School in Port Washington came after several playground injuries, WCBS-TV, New York, reported Tuesday.
