Diseases From Our Southern Friends

A few years ago a doctor friend and his wife came over for dinner. Somehow we got into a discussion about world dangers and went through the gamut of WMD's, nuclear warheads and various other aspects of world destruction created to wreak havoc on mankind. This guy thinks big and it was his contention that the next great killer would be a great plague for which no vaccine was available. There have been a myriad of stories written in the past few days about diseases being brought into the country from out southern border.(Of which there isn't one). Being an amateur and not privy to the scientific world let's say the measles meets up with tuberculosis. That might create an entirely new disease with which we aren't familiar. All's I'm tryin' to say is--what if. Already we've seen and diagnosed a variety of diseases at one time eradicated in the United States and now they're here again. Even as experts on both sides are saying that Obama is likely to delay deportations, the Revolution underway is claiming real victims through the diseases coming through the border with illegal aliens.
Last month Gibbs’ granddaughter was diagnosed with a viral infection called Hand and Foot Disease.  When it strikes, Hand and Foot Disease sometimes goes on to infect entire communities.  The disease, identified by ugly, painful sores in and on the mouth and on human feet and hands,  runs its virulent course over a four-day painful infection.  There is no known treatment available for it.
