It's quite evident the 24 hour news cycle could care less about the Midwest of the nation. The state of Iowa, from the western part of the state east to the Mississippi River was virtually decimated by a horrendous storm That encompassed the entire central part of the land.
Winds exceeded 100 mph yet, can I say this, the bastards running ABC, CBS, NBC and the other crap stations nobody watches could care less. Yes, the bread basket of the nation is suffering but since it's not New York, California or some other liberal state they could care less.
The governor, Kim Reynolds, was asked if she was going to ask for federal help. Her answer? "At this time we believe we can work through it".
Never, ever scoff at Iowans. We're great people. I left Iowa in 1988 for Ohio but my heart still lives in the Hawkeye state.
Do me a favor. Go online and look at photos of the destruction. It makes me want to shed tears.
