Ho hum. Just another day at our Ten Mile Lake in Minnesota. Mrs. Smokey had her two cubs in the yard next to ours. It's best no one bothered her as she pulled down a bird feeder for an early morning snack.
One of my buddies asked if this happens often. The answer is not really. It's more likely to occur in August and September when the food supplies in their habitats become scarce. A few years ago a bear broke into the cabin of our next door neighbor and stole three candy bars. That was very courteous of Yogi. I don't know where Boo-Boo was on that day. He's the shy type.
