Trying To Understand The Cancel Culture

There was an article in the news yesterday regarding Leinenkugel Beer out of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin changing the logo on the bottles and cans. As one can guess the Indian was eliminated. The obvious for me is why didn't the town council get rid of the name of Chippewa and call the community Falls?

We're all aware that a number of other companies have been forced to change their logos so as to not be offensive. For example, Eskimo Pies which isn't really a pie but ice cream with an outer layer of chocolate lost the picture of an Eskimo. Do you know how offensive this is? The Eskimos of the northern tundra actually refer to themselves as Eskimos. Land O' Lakes butter has gotten rid of their Indian logo. One of the first to go was Aunt Jemima pancake mix then Uncle Ben's Rice. There have been a slew of others.

If the feel good crowd wanted to do their job why not make food products like Quaker Oats colonial guy history? All the minority groups are on the choping block but whitey still prevails. Call me silly but this doesn't make much sense.
