Mark Dayton(Gov.-Minnesota) has to be the dumbest governor in the United States. I only write this because as a US Senator he resigned his office for a myriad of problems. And, unceremoniously, was dubbed the dumbest senator in that august body. Think about it. Being dubbed the dumbest in the Senate would be tantamount to being labeled the worst commandant in the Nazi army.
Dayton said that he was appalled at the treatment and slaughter of the American Indians. For this he has ordered all flags to fly at half mast. And just when did this slaughter take place, you might ask? Well, it was in 1862 and was done in response to Indians killing around 600 settlers. The governor of Minnesota, at that time, ordered all Indians to be removed to South Dakota.
