Why So Many Chicago Murders

Mayor Lori 'Beetlejuice' Lightfoot came up with an answer as to why there have been so many murders in the past few months. She blamed it on the virus and that people are frustrated with being sequestered. Is this a joke of what? Surely she can come up with something better than this. For her it's called deflection.

I'll refer back to a study from previous years. In 2012, Robert Tracy, the head of the Chicago Police Department's Office of Crime Control Strategies, surmised that there are at least 60 gangs splitting into roughly 600 wings. A Chicago Police study of the 436 murders a year prior found that most of the victims were young Black males killed in gang-related disturbances, noting that "most victims and their killers had a prior history of an arrest."

Can you only imagine how many druggies and gangs are on the streets in 2020?

Chicago won't change anytime soon. I don't have any answers to the problems of Chicago. I wish I did.
