Every Life Lost Is A Tragedy

Anytime I read about a child dying it's sad. As its always been said, no parent should have to bury a child.
To date 84 children have died of COVID-19.

In 2019 1400 children died from auto related accidents and 700 children drowned. In addition, 500 children die of seasonal flu.

I wonder how many young people will perish because they stayed home from school; having an accident in their homes or goofing around with their pals because schools were shut down.

Teachers unions are adamant they should be able to decided if the schools are to be opened or closed. Don't parents have any say in this? Why should a teacher union tell you what is best for your child. That's like say you have to practice whatever religion we tell you is best.

Do we really want to shut down the schools?
