This 'N That From Dublin Ohio

Mirages aren't only in the desert. Three days ago I drove by one of our larger gas stations. The price at the pump was $3.45 which in itself is ridiculous. Anyway, yesterday the price was $3.99. I slapped myself and was convinced my eyes were deceiving me. They weren't.

I used to be a passionate golfer. It's not the case anymore and I find it's due to two causes: (1) My golfing buddies are too old and (2) my golfing buddies are too dead. Even so, I'm going to throw caution to the wind and seek out a senior league for next year. Hope springs eternal.

A fella named Aaron Judge broke a home run record for American League players last night by hitting his 62nd. I've never heard a whiff of scandal about the young man. What little I do know about him is he was adopted the day after he was born. I wonder if his natural birth parents are aware of what became of their son. God does indeed work in strange and mysterious ways. I believe these natural mom and dad deserve a special shout out for allowing their baby to enter into this world instead of the horrid alternative.
