What Makes A Good Day For Seniors

A week or so ago I was bemoaning the fact that I lost another hearing aid. Losing items is my middle name. Last Thursday I ordered a pair from one of those online companies because a pair was advertiesed for $499.00. How could I go wrong considering these, too, would be lost in short orde. I mean, losing $500 is nothing compared to $2,000.

Today I went to CVS to buy a fingernail clipper. Along with my pocket knife these are two staples and have been for over fifty years. I used to bite my nails down to the quick. Bleeding nails were no stranger to me. That's the reason for the clippers.

Anyway, I was four pennies short on my $2.19 clipper bill and went to my car. And what should my wondering eyes see in my glove compartment but the hearing aid I had lost. In this case misplaced.

Tomorrow I'll call the company of me new purchase to get a return number. This makes me happy. The nail clipper made me happier. Seniors are that way. It's the little things that count.

Know what else I enjoy but don't have the pleasure all that often. It happened three nights ago when I feel asleep at 11 pm; a rarity for certain. Even better yet I awakened in the morning and could not remember one single dream. As you may know my dreams are anything but a trip through Candyland. They are war and murder, anger and violence unlimited. Not three nights ago. That was wonderful. Many times I'll ask myself when I crawl in bed, "Well, I wonder what kind of b.s. I'll dream about tonight?".

Last month I bought a Senior GPS. Not only does it tell me where I'm going but why I wanted to get there.

I do enjoy afternoon naps but that means I'll be up until 2 am of after. Xinay on the naps.

My most favorite television relaxation is either Erin Krakow or Taylor Cole in a Hallmark movie.

There's a fishing pond directly behind our condo. Since I own more fishing gear than most professionals I don't know why I don't use it. Could it be I've become a Minnesota fisherman; spoiled if you know what I mean.

I very much enjoy taking Charlie for walks just so we don't get too far from home. One never knows when the call of the john will hit.

I'm saving a ton of money on razor blades and shaving creme. With the supposesed pandemic and hanging around the house what's the point?

Andy of Mayberry used to be a favorite of mine. It's on Direct TV beginning at 3 pm and runs until 8 pm every week day. I stopped watching when I realized I'd seen every single episode for the third time. The same goes for Law & Order.

I think most men do this when watching television. They lie on their backs on the couch and with the remote constantly scroll channels hoping against hope something shows up.

That's about it for today but tomorrow when I blog it'll pretty much be the same.
