There's one group of people worse than supposed journalists in the media and they are sportswriters. I'm always amazed these folks, be it in print or or the television can know so little about so much, or is it the other way around?
I appreciate greatness be it with the ability to hit and throw a ball or in playing a harmonica. NFL quarterback officially called it a career after twenty-two years; two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or twenty with the New England Patriots. The lad won seven Super Bowls. Nobody nowhere can come close to that. Yet, three days ago a sportswriter in a mainstream sports magazine wrote: Tom Brady retires: goes out a loser.
I'm sure he's referring to the fact that Brady didn't win a Super Bowl which would have been his 8th. You'll notice I didn't write the guy's name. Why give a nobody that kind of credit.
