Idle Thoughts From An Idle Mind

 Charlie and I were out for his morning constitutional this morning and it hit me: I'm not really 76 years old because with inflation I'm only 51. 

In early December, oil was trading at $65 per barrel. Today, it's over $90. The administration is asking other world oil producers to increase their production. 

Since Joe took over the average family(whatever that is) is spending $250 more per month.

Joe the Blow is exhorting everyone, even the government, to buy American. I wonder why we're spending $1.2 billion to buy masks from China.

Is there anyone who doesn't think Adele isn't a fantastic singer? Not me for certain. The lady has come under fire from the nabobs of negativity for saying in public, "I'm proud to be a women." I don't understand social media and why people take it seriously. These people who are lambasting the singer might or might not be high school dropouts or worse.

Do you know of Jim Creamer of CNBC fame? He's their economic guru. Last night he told the word the upper classes would be harder hit than the lower ones when it comes to inflation. I'm still scratching my head.

In news from my Hawkeye state:  An Iowa man was sentenced to life in prison on Monday for using his truck to fatally hit a man after a fight over mayonnaise. Folks, be careful of what's called 'black ice'. With the huge snow melt of yesterday then a freeze for today the pavement looks like melted water. It isn't. Lucky for me I grew up in Iowa. I recognized it right away. My Charlie was born in Ohio so I had to explain it to him. You'll never know how difficult it is to explain things to him using his bark language.
