Every year members of the Democrat and Republican congresses play a soft ball game. It's supposed to stop the acrimony between the two groups at least for a limited time. It's always been a fun night. Well, a couple years ago it was so jovial when a Bernie Sanders supporter shot Republican congressman, Steve Scalise but it was his fault because he happened to be an R, a male and white.
Last night the annual event occurred and the Democrat congresswoman, Linda 'Slob' Sanchez received a walk but when she got to 1st base a pinch runner was inserted for her. Most likely because standing on first base wouldn't have allowed her to set up her own smorgasbord. As she waddled back to her dugout she passed that of her opponent and did what any good sport would do. She flipped them the bird, gave them the finger, announced a silent 'FU'.
