Voting and the ramifications involved in possible cheating among states has me flummoxed. I want to scream out, "WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?"
The way I figure if we can tabulate 130 million votes for the 'Dancing With The Stars' winnerin ten minutes why should it take this long to know a president? Unless, shenanigans are at hand.
Granted, I live in an upscale community with lots of cash to buy the very best voting machinery. When I enter my voting precinct I know a member of the Black Panthers will be in front of the elementary school with a 'Vote D or Die' sticker on his shirt.
When the actual process took place a slip of paper was handed to me. I then entered the voting area, put my slip of paper in a machine. A screen opened. I pressed an icon on the screen reading 'begin' and the presidential canidates popped up. I selected one. Then another icon reading 'next' after I voted. When I had completed the task I pressed another icon reading 'finished' and my slip of paper came out. I then waked to another piece of equipent and entered the slip of paper. This is when the problems most likely occur. If anytime a non-wanted candidate shows up his or her tally might be negated.
For the life of me it hasn't crossed my mind that people would actually cheat but that's the kind of person I am.
I was relating a story to a friend about how it doesn't look good for Trump. I was more than upset because of the flawed system I may never vote again. On my drive home from Iowa after considering this I realized this is stinking thinking. That would be playing into the hands of the Dems.
I'd also convinced myself Trump had lost and Mortimer Snerd would be president. As I drove along I remember a basketball game in which I coached in the winter of 1974. Our team was playing at East Moline, Illiinois. With 4 minutes left in the game we were behind by 20 points. Our boys went into a trapping defense and we won 72-70 at the buzzer. Folks, never give up. Never!
