Wasn't it Will Rogers who said, "Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it?" If it wasn't him it should have been. This segues into our congress. As much as we complain there's not much we can do about them especially when, as is ours, they're crooked.
In 2020 the Democrat congress passes the Covid Relief Act. Sounds good, huh? It wasn't because whenever congress passes a bill into law it includes crappola and we, the people, can't do much about them.
For example check out some of its provisions.
$10 million for “gender programs” in Pakistan,
$300 million for fisheries,
$100 million for NASA,
$300 million to Endowment for the Arts,
$300 million to Endowment for the Humanities,
$300 million to Public Broadcasting,
$500 million for Museums and Libraries,
$720 million to Social Security Administration,
$315 million to the State Department,
$90 million to the Peace Corps,
$492 million to National Railroad Passenger Corp,
$526 million grant to Amtrak.
$4.7 billion in foreign aid to nine countries.
Better yet they passed a payment plan for businesses to keep them afloat. Hunter Biden received $50,000 for his art shop, cocaine not included. Samuel Bankman-Fried was given $340,000. Ye gods, what a horrible web they weave.
