Yessiree, I did go to Catholic grade school. It might say Sister Ethel in the photo but that's a lie. Never in the history of Nundom was there an Ethel. As God is my witness the person pictured in the photo is Sister Mary Louis Joseph. She was my 6th grade teacher and believe me when I tell you for her what you're looking at is a smiling face. Plus, it's my firm belief she hated boys especially those with the initials MJH.
Every Catholic kid who looks at the picture will recognize the Palmer writing method above the blackboard. For Nuns good penmanship was akin to memorizing the Bible.
