O-H-I-O(with a smiley face)

By now you know the results of the marijuana vote in Ohio. It went up in smoke. It wasn't close. The latest tally had the 'doobie-munchers' taking it on the chin by a 2 to 1 count. Folks, there were more people in the US in 1941 who wanted the Nazis to take over the world than this pitiful number.

The Queen and I left for Olathe, Kansas on voting day. Two days prior my neighbor told me the vote would be too close to call. He said it stood at 43%-42% with the gas bags in the lead. I take him at his word. He's a national pollster which is how he supports his family. It's funny how pollsters sometimes get things wrong. In 1948 these guys had Harry Truman taking it in the shorts. The people hadn't yet spoken. Harry won in a landslide.

All 88 counties in Ohio voted against marijuana, even Cuyahoga which includes Cleveland. When a communist city votes against a liberal bill then you know it's a loser.

There were going to be 24 investors in Ohio who controlled ten monopolistic regions for weed growing. These people had already purchased thousands of acres of land to nurture their manure. What now brown cow? As for their new found property I hear animals for grazing are a winner. Dried cow pies make for good wintertime fuels.

I have to wonder about the demographics of the vote. Where were the 18-29 year olds? We know they didn't have jobs so that can't be an excuse not to vote. Were they too hung over or stoned to get to the polling center? This is highly doubtful. In Ohio we have a polls open thirty days prior to the first Tuesday in November so this shouldn't be used as a viable excuse. Polls are even open on Sunday. Maybe they were at church.

So, the pro-folks made a proclamation yesterday. "This fight isn't over"! Say what? I've got a message for these 'Cheech and Chong'ers'. Making that kind of statement losing 65% to 35% begs the question, "What have these guys been smoking"?
