And The Weird Times Continue

Governor Mike DeWine here in Ohio mandated this week that masks are required everywhere in seven counties. One of them is mine, Franklin. It encompasses Columbus proper and the suburbs. Two days ago I drove down to Bonefish restaurant in Dublin to purchase a gift certificate for my next door neighbor. He is recently married. There were two guys in the bar area, sans masks.

Our condo is across the street from Muirfield Village GC. The Memorial takes place this week. It was supposed to be the first PGA event with fans but the governor stopped that one. Here's the deal. My home is two blocks south of Delaware County. When I drive to Walgreens I cross over the line so no mask is required. It's sort of like driving from one state on Central time and another on Eastern time. It confuses me.

Cuyahoga County contains mostly Cleveland. They're mayor has made an edict. Citizens who see a person without a mask are encouraged to call the City and snitch. The fine is 90 days in jail or a $2,500 dollar fine. Seriously? Police in Cleveland have the time to ferret out folks without masks? I've been to Cleveland a number of times. When driving I sink down low in my seat so as to not get shot.

Did you ever want to just get away and go someplace you've never been before? I've had the wanderlust for two weeks. I want to load up my car and drive. I was looking at Briston, Virginia/Bristol Tennessee last night. The state line runs down Main Street of the communities. It sounds interesting. Besides, I enjoy talking with and listening to southerners.

The Dems are up in arms about Trump commuting Roger Stone's sentence for lying in the Flynn case. If Flynn has been determined to be innocent of his crimes how could Stone be guilty of his?

Pelosi said we should take a long look at the presidents ability to commute sentences. Why we're at it we should check into Clinton and Obama and the number of murders and terrorists they released. It's appalling.

I was saddened to read Kelly Preston died overnight. She is an actress and the 29 year wife of John Travolta. I didn't care for the fact that they were practicing Scientologists but what they do is what they do. I thought she was adorable in one of my favorite baseball films, 'For Love Of The Game' with Kevin Costner. She'd been fighting breast cancer.
