A few weeks ago I wrote about Megan O'Grady from Cape Coral, Florida. She makes teddy bears for children of fallen police officers. Sadly, in this day, the haters found out about her and some sent her death threats.
I was so taken with the teenager I sent her a check to continue her work. With appreciation and surprise I received in the mail a letter from her thanking me for the check and my note. Interspersed throughout her note were personal references to me so I know it wasn't a form letter. Even though we will never meet I felt an immediate and lasting bond.
If you would like to help google blue line bears. You'll feel good. To date Megan has made 750 bears and she has written off the death threats. What courage.
