A couple of days ago I mentioned the name of Ghengis Khan in a not so good way. If you like John Kerry you would pronounce it Jen-Jus Khan but that's another story.
As I was tossing and turning early this morning his name filtered through my mind. I had read somewhere before that Mr. Khan was prolific when it came to copulating so I looked up this subject. This is what I found out. One in every 200 people in the world carry the Y chromosome of the guy. Isn't that amazing?
Considering that his Mongol group conquered from China to Poland it isn't all that impossible to understand. Every time they pillaged, looted and raped which was a lot Khan got first choice in the women he wanted for his own or to rape then his sons got theirs and so on down the line.
Did you know that every person has six doppelgangers; people who look exactly like them. With 6 or so billion people in the world I can understand this. It happened to me in 1973. I was coaching in Ottumwa, Iowa and scouted a game in Des Moines. After the game I stopped into a bar and sat down. Within thirty seconds two young women and a guy came running over, gave me hugs, shook my hand and started chatting enthusiastically. I could not convince them I was not Doug Barakat.
