There are certain words and phrases that literally bug me to near death. I suspect it's this way for everyone. In the 1960's it was groovy. Damn Simon and Garfunkle for their song, 'Feelin' Groovy'.
There's one going around today and it's popular with the television media. I can always tell when it's coming so I try to reach for the remote but invariably I'm late.
The media people will run a video of some event then at the end of the clip tell us 'it's gone viral'.
Somebody, please, ban the word viral. It's like herpes or STD's.
