This 'N That From Dublin Ohio

It's Halloween. Try and find a television show that doesn't have something to do with ghouls, vampires, the walking dead. It's as difficult as not locating Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on Christmas and every day preceding it for three weeks.

Did you know it's against the law to carry ice cream in your hip pocket in Kentucky?

We haven't had a kid trick or treat at our condo for eight years and I'm expecting nothing less tonight.

If I was going to trick or treat I'd dress up like a Democrat and steal everyone's money.

I purchased two front tires this morning from Tire Discount for the price of $143.00 total. That seemed reasonable. They wanted $130.00 for a battery installed. Auto Max charges $73.00 for the same battery installed. I can one up Tire Discount. Our Toyota dealer offered to install a batter for $150.00 plus $50.00 for an installation charge. Some people would pay this. Amazing!

I also put in two wiper blades for $17.00 when I could have paid $79.00 at Toyota. The moral of the story is to shop around.

Comedy Central is sponsoring an online pre-election event next Monday night. The headliners are Jane Fonda, Amy Schumer and Chelsea Handler. Comedy Central is touting it as a nonpartisan event.

Both Iowa and Iowa State are listed in the FBS college football rankings for the best 25 in the country. The defensive front 5 for the Hawkeyes are home grown boys.

"Hey Catholics, get your butt's to Mass tomorrow. If you have to ask why then shame on you".

There's a family restaurant in Shawnee Hills up the the road a piece from Dublin called Hella's. They serve home made vittles and their omelets are out of this world. Get there early. They close at 3 pm.

Our village of Dublin is being revitalized along the Scioto River with fancy upscale restaurants, hotels and apartments. Someone has built a four story high rise overlooking the river. The top floor is an apartment being sold for one million dollars. Make your bid early. It'll go fast.

I heard this on 98.9 The Answer radio station last night and it came from the host, Chuck Douglas.
He said Minneapolis and Franklin County Ohio lead the nation in bed bugs. Then Douglas let it drop.
Franklin County is composed of Greater Columbus, Grove City, Hilliard, Dublin up to Delaware twenty miles north.

Let me take a stab as to to the reason why. The Twin Cities and Columbus lead the nation in the number of Somali transplants. It's a fact. Then throw in numerous Middle Eastern Muslim immigrants and you're talking a whole lot of bed bugs.
