If her name was Melania Clinton, it would be different. She would be on the cover of Vogue and all the other women’s magazines. Anna Wintour would prepare the most glittering party for her and all The Ladies Who Lunch would be Just Dying for a ticket.
If her name was Melania Obama, she would be dancing with Ellen DeGeneres, the approving NBC TV audience applauding her every gracious move. What an elegant First Lady, they would gush. Ellen would be saying, “Let’s hear it for the most glamorous First Lady since Jackie.” Can’t you just hear the audience going wild! If her name was Melenia Clinton?
