When I was in high school in the 60's there were always those guys who loved to strut their stuff on the dance floor.
In college I had a date with Jean Lamb. It was at a fraternity party. Right away I told her, "If you expect me to dance. Think again. I'll put my arm around you and move my feet but that's about it."
Back to high school: I was the guy holding up the wall. I watched and that's about it. Girls loved these dudes with greasy hair held in place with Butch Wax. Big deal. They also loved me when I knocked down 30 in a basketball game.
I found a video of a couple dancing from the 50's. It's pretty good if one likes that sort of thing.
