That Didn't Take Long Did It

Economists say come October the average American will get their heads out their  collective reads when they recognize they're paying more than their finances can hold. Then we'll hear statements like, "Joe, get your hands outta my friggin' wallet."

The government announced today via the consumer price index inflation has risen 5% since a certain demented person assumed the Oval Office.

Wouldn't it be interesting if households sat down with pen and paper and figured out how much more they're paying for individual items? It doesn't begin and end with gasoline. One must take into account the cost of food, rent, automobiles, every facet of everyday living to realize our wallets have been on the Jenny Craig plan. What a person should do is research every item in their homes that is made of petroleum products. They won't but they should.

This administration says they want to build the economy from the bottom up. Good Lord, haven't we heard this before? Tell me that a guy running Mom & Pop grocery store of Beaver Creek, can afford to put $3.15 cents a gallon in their pick up. I can afford the increased prices because (A) and this is funny but one of my readers wife told him I need to get off the computer and get a life because I stay home all day. (B) I have the money to pay for the price increases. But, I have a sister, age 78, who lives off Social Security. She's recently moved to a new apartment which, although the same in square footage as the old place, is a couple of hundred higher a month. Them multiply this by millions of hard working Americans and we've got real problems.

There's a heck of a lot more I could write about but I'll end with this: Now that you think about it did the tweets really bother you that much?
