Her Majesty is at our Minnesota lake home this week. She was up there a month ago but due to circumstances brought on by the Biden administration she had to hop a plane, rent a car and drive 3 hours to the place all in the name of getting it ready for renters.
Let it be known I'm not a big fan of visiting the lake but only because it takes 17 hours of drive time. When I was in my 40's and 50's I'd drive the distance non-stop. At 75 I now say, "Screw it."
The big problem with the wife going up there is because of Joey Boy. It used to be we could hire yard people, house cleaners, etc. It was good for us and good for economy.
Because of the free money now provided by the government people don't want to work. Heck, I don't blame them. They now make a lot more money staying home than they do working. There are some who are grifting up to $80,000 a year by doing nothing. It's the proverbial gravy train.
I know the people in Hackensack, Minnesota. They're good people. I also know when these citizens who have weathered the harsh winters have free time on their hands they use it wisely----------by going to the bars.
