In checking out this picture, which I believe to be true, it gave me mixed feelings. It's about the guy on the left in the picture. His dad was a Republican, sort of, and in the Obama administration as Sec. of Transportation. The lad is a former student of mine from when I was a high school history teacher. I vividly remember him as a solid student and a nice kid. Sort of makes me sad knowing he became a politician. I mean, why would anyone with a conscience want to be in Washington D.C. unless they want to get rich? Actually, I had another student and former football player who became a congressman. His name was Bobby Schilling who served the district of Rock Island, Illinois. Sad to say he only served two years. He was to honest to be in congress so his district threw him out after one election cycle.
