In 2014(most recent figures)the NRA and affiliated National Rifle Association of America Institute for Legislative Action together spent at least $800,000 lobbying the federal government during the first quarter — more than any year covering the same period, according to federal records.
If my math is correct times 4 equals $3.6 million. That's about as much money as Bill Gates makes every day. And, while I'm on the subject why blame the NRA for every shooting or why blame the guns. Let's put the onus on where it belongs: the Congressmen who took this cash.
But wait, let me continue with something close to my heart. The second amendment is a guarantee that the people have a right to own guns. So, stop you're bitching if you think the Constitution doesn't matter anymore, that's it's outdated.
I hate abortion and Planned Parenthood because in my opinion it's wanton murder. Yet, the Supreme Court gave it an okee-dokee in the 1970's. Do you remember the $3.6 million dollar NRA figure. Guess what? For the upcoming mid-term election alone PP is going to pony up $22 million. Yowza, yowza, youwza! Millions upon millions of dollars spent to make sure we can slice and dice then in many instances sell tiny babies body parts.
