Last week I penned a little ditty on the administration's plan to ban menthol cigarettes. I also mentioned how this would bring on a war with the Black community. From personal observation I stated Blacks were the ones who smoked menthols. Barack Obama, even though he said he'd give up ciggies was seen outside the White House with a smoke in his mouth----unless it was a piece of chalk. His brand of choice happened to be Newport but I'm sure Kool would have worked in a pinch. Well, statistics now tell us Blacks who smoke is 85% menthol of their choices.
So, what will the Biden people accomplish with this dictum? For one, bootleg activity will increase at a greater cost in money. Think not. Then consider every other 'sin' activity and how the government performs. Does Prohibition come to mind? Whoever first said, 'Government sucks!' was onto something. Wasn't it Eric Garner in NYC who resisted arrest for selling bootleg cigarettes? He resisted arrest and was subsequently shot dead? Michael Bloomberg should be proud that his cigarette law caused the death of a man for selling 'illegal cigarettes'.
The Biden people will then say if only the nicotine content is reduced people will easily stop. Yeah right, by reducing the content people will demand more to meet their addiction. The thing about government, and I seem to be on an anti-government rant today is they create more problems than they solve by a longshot.
