As you are well aware I've long been on a rant regarding the wearing of masks and their ineffectiveness. Well, I need to amend my statements. There is one mask easily available to the general public. The problem is the great majority of the people do not research which is best and which are band-aids.
The N95s mask has been proven beneficial but----------------------.
General purpose disposable respirators and dust masks are designed to be worn once and thrown away. Masks cover the nose and mouth to filter harmful airborne particles. Dust masks provide general protection. Respirators are NIOSH-rated for particulate protection and can give up to the elimination of up to 95% of particulates.
Other than this or more expensive models and continued use of those provided by you local food stores-----------
you be the judge as to their effectiveness.
