Follow The Money
The State of Oregon is inspired by Pres. Obama's "Who cares" speech on marijuana. Pro-advocates are excited because they feel they will follow quickly behind Washington and Colorado to have legalization of the ganja for recreational use. It's too soon to understand the ramifications of the lax drug laws: auto accidents, lung and brain damage, skyrocketing crime, the influx of south of the border drug cartels. There is one obvious reason for voting 'Yes" by all of these state legislatures. It is estimated that the purchase of marijuana, legally, will add $65 million in revenues to the state coffers and that is the biggest reason for it's passage. Common sense be damned.
