An organization that was created to be anonymous has been forced out into the open----and by Prog's and the IRS, no less. In a way I'm happy about this invasion of privacy. This may come as a huge surprise to you but there is a group comprised of conservative Hollywood actors. Except for a few, Kelsey Grammer, Pat Boone and it's founder, Gary Senise that you already know, they meet in private to discuss their views and reinforce their principles. This A list of actors is called the 'Friends of Abe'. The word on the street and in gossip rags is there are 1500 of these brave souls. Mr. Senise came up with the moniker because, as one born in Illinois, he wanted a reference to Abraham Lincoln. This group applied for a 501C3 status five years ago. In other words, a tax exempts status to support conservative candidates. The IRS is now demanding a list of their members. (If you drop down to the blog below this you will find a larger list of 501 conservative groups under attack by the IRS. It's sad that the group founded by Senise cannot keep their anonymity but if they are exposed the general public might have a different view of some of their Tinseltown heroes and heroines. Can you say Vince Vaughn and Tom Selleck? There is a more complete list of conservative actors listed here http://usconservatives.about.com/od/hollywoodconservatives/a/HollywoodCons.htm If you open it you might be surprised at a couple of actors on the list.
