A big fan of Chris Christie I am not. From my perch he's another Nelson Rockefeller, a John McCain, a Lindsey Graham. But, thank God for Chris Christie for without him the MSM would be more irrelevant than it already is. It's called Bridgegate and is supposed to bring down Christie as a bona fide presidential candidate. I'm sure you know that a bridge in Jersey was shut down some time back as retribution for non-support of the governor in his re-election campaign. One of Christie's aides did so to create havoc in a particular New Jersey city. Then, we find out a lady died because she had suffered a heart attack and emergency services couldn't get to her. I say, because of this Christie should wear thumb screws for the next six months. He should be impeached. The MSM should be allowed to physically impale him unless-----we get the real story. The lady in question, the one who died, was 91 years old. Her name was Vilma Oleri. Her daughter went to check on her in her home but the lady was on the floor unconscious; most likely already dead, said her daughter, Florence Genova. Even so, it took an ambulance seven minutes to get to the house because of this shutdown instead of the normal four minutes.
Now, to the good stuff. ABC, CBS and NBC stopped the presses to concentrate on the biggest story since Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic. In the first 24 hours of this story they devoted more time to it than they had to the IRS scandal in the last six months; a total of thirty-four minutes and twenty-eight seconds. As for the IRS scandal here's the timeline breakdown: NBC, a five second update; CBS is the winner at one minute and four seconds; ABC came in second at twenty-two seconds.
I would assume the networks were in a panic after the Robert Gates expose'. Not to worry, folks. There's always a Republican scandal around the corner waiting to be hatched by the MSM.
