Kiss The Volkswagen Goodbye

I wonder how many Americans knew the Volkswagen was a vehicle commissioned by Adolf Hitler to be The car of Nazi Germany. Maybe this is why the company has decided to eliminate the Beetle. I'm certain our Social Justice Warriors had something to do with it or could it be another reason?

I rode in a bug once. It was in January of 1966. A guy I didn't know offered to drive four of us in this crap car from Evanston, Illinois to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where I went to college. The heater had the force of a lit match. I don't know how much one of those mini-caskets cost in '66 but it's one reason my first car was a '68 Pontiac GTO.
