It Was Only A Playful Slap

BARTOW, Fla. (Tribune News Service) — A Winter Haven man was sentenced Friday to 364 days in the Polk County Jail for beating up a 90-year-old World War II veteran in the parking lot of a Winter Haven shopping center last year.
Gregory Leonard Krizsan, 25, apologized for his actions before Circuit Judge Keith Spoto imposed sentence.
"I do apologize that he was involved in any situation," he said.
The incident began when Bill Frasier, of Winter Haven, was backing out of his parking space at Northgate Shopping Center at 1395 Sixth St. N.W. and struck the car in which Krizsan was riding, according to Winter Haven Police reports. Krizsan left the car and began shouting at Frasier, who got out of his car to inspect the damage.
