In Florida Burmese pythons are a huge problem. The state has started the a Python Elimination Program to eliminate reptiles dropped off in the Everglades and other marsh areas.
To date 2 miles of snakes have been captured totaling 10.4 tons of the wily critters, 1,711 in all.
I've eaten snake. It tastes like chicken
