"Hey Parents, It's Your Money"

This story, though seen regularly in the news, is worthy of reporting. Holly M. Barker is a professor at the Univ. of Washington teaching mushy brained kids.

Ms. Barker(I need to find a picture of her to confirm my suspicions) has published a paper saying SpongeBob SquarePants is a racist figure. No kidding. And she's being paid money by the taxpayers of Washington.

Her contention is SpongeBob's character is located on the Bikini Island Atoll in the Marshall Islands. That land if you recall was a test center for nuclear bomb testing. Natives were moved to another area. According to Barker this is a prime example of American colonialism.

The creators of SpongeBob to their credit have not responded to her criticisms.

Whatever happened to readin', writin' and rithmatic' in schools?
